7004r vs 2004r

What would be a better choice, running a 327 small block chevy soon to be twin turbo.

I prefer the 2004R with the 2.74 first compared to the 3.06 of the 700. 2nd gear drop is not as drastic with the 200. Overdrive is .67 with the 200 vs .70 of the 700.

So in all the ratio is better in the 200 and shiftin is smoother to.

The 2004R is more like a close ratio muncie and the 700 is more like an SM465 truck tranny. That granny gear may get you off the line but the shift to the next gear is horrible because itboggs the engine down.

Its not gonna be a drag or racing car. It will be my daily driver and at nights maybe once in a blue moon, have a lil race.

If you have snow or ice the 200 will work better and since the gears are a little better spaced then you will likely get better mileage out of it.
