I was looking into window weather seal strips for my 84. Apparently unlike later models, I have that wide black piece that mounts on the top part by the window strip edge (like T-types and regals have in chrome)... Is this unusual for a 84 or are my doors possibly from a regal or T type or 442??

Where do I find proper fitting wiper seal strips?

Are you talking about the belt molding strips?

I wish I knew the correct tech term for them, but they sit on top of the door edge and run the length of the windows. They're about 2 inches wide and have a slight step at about the 1" location that runs the length. The weather seal strips are located to the inside of them (by the window).

The outer window belt weather strip is different
on the 84 from the 85-87 ones. But you can take
the old rubber strip off the door plate and use
the new rubber weather strip from the 85-87
Limited door w/s. Works great, just pop rivet
the new ones on to your old door plates. HTH

Yep, 84 GN and T-Type use the Limiteds sealing strips.
