I have a large 200 servo (112 piston). It currently has an o-ring on the smaller land and a scarf cut seal on the larger land. The o-ring fits tight but does slid in the bore OK with lube. Has anyone tried an o-ring or do you see any kind of problem with using one. Thanks

Chris would be the best one to answer this Lee.
Let me make sure I understand what you want to do though.

You want to replace the scarf cut seal on the servo, with an o-ring, on the larger land?

If so, post the overall diameter, land inside diameter and approx width and I'll look for an o-ring that might work in my various stuff.

No

The prior owner had an o-ring on the small dia. land. I want to know is I can use it that way.

Ya,
I don't see a problem with that as long as it fits with some resistance in the cover. I wouldn't want it to have huge resistance, but it needs some.

It will work as Jake said but the square edge scarf cut seals work just fine and Chris could get you plenty of those if you need them.
