i have never used RTV on my gasket but i know alot of people do. the only area's i rtv is the 2 pots by the rear main and the 2 spots by the front cover.

Cool, because that was what I was planning on doing. I just hope I can finally get this puppy installed this weekend. I've day dreamed enough, time to drive off into the sunset. :cool:

If you are using the rubber strips for the intake, I like putting some RTV in the corners above and below the strips. You have 3 different surfaces meeting at one place.

Are you using a MAF at all?

Haha, yeah, I just slapped on a few pieces on for a pic and an overall view of what I have cooking. I just put the K&N filter into the MAF pipe to see what it would look like. :tongue:
 
What about putting spray copper on the oilpan gasket? Seams like it would make it stay put a bit better and not hurt anything.

I have also sprayed the cork gasket with copper spray and no leaks. Made it nica and sticky, held itself in place.
