I haven't had to break into a Gbody in over 10 years, so it would probably take me 45 seconds since I am so rusty, lol.

Are the Fox Body Stangs as easy to get into as our cars?

Yep, I was able to open my buddy's car (left the key inside) in less than a minute. :D And I'm no expert...;)

Wake Up Eric ! Read up on " My Dad's GN Stolen 1-5-08" Stolen from a store parking lot in less than 15 minutes, in broad daylight (noon)

20 years ago, when mine was still a daily driver, I came out of the store 5 minutes later and found a car full of the aforementioned quality individuals parked 6 inches from my driver's door. Fortunately for us both, they chose not to confront me, or the 8 rounds of .45 in my hand. I still have the slim- jim they left in my driver's door.

P.S. Just recently added 5 rounds of .410 !!

F'n funny! I'll just carry Mr.Remmington around with me every where I go. I must live in the only place on the planet were people actually respect your property. And I'm sure the cops on this board will agree with me. I just dont hear about cars being stolen with in 5 minutes in broad day light from crowded and packed parking lots down here.Your turf obviouslly is different. And I'm in Donk Central!! Just because some urban youth admires your car doesn't mean he is out to jack it. Like I said some of you guys are paranoid... or just plain stuck on yourselves.

Oh and BTW. I dont advertise that I have something to steal. Stock radio,no GPS,XM reciever/antenna,subs or 18" wheels to make me a target. I'm just another black Monte Carlo to 99.9% of the law abiding citizens out there.

So what. 20 years ago you almost became the victim. What did you do? Thats right nothing. You went on with your life. Get over it. How many times since than has it happened? And yes I have had some of the same chit happen to me. I'll be damned when the criminals of this world make me so paranoid that I have to resort to carrying a gun. My life aint worth a hunk of metal. Now if some perp thinks it is than I have no problem pulling the trigger but the damn car better be parked on my property before I do.

I do believe G bodies in general are the #1 "target" in the metro Detroit area. Its been said many times around these parts, if its not locked up in the garage, it WILL be stolen. And some of the ones locked away get stolen too. So I do understand why people get paranoid. I dont take my car out unless I know I can stay within plain site of it.

Easy there killer..lol (Eric)

I myself havent had a problem but from reading past threads, present threads, talking to a few friends at body shops and a friend whose also a cop, i guess theres a big demand for these cars which is good and bad..i can drive down the road and count 20 stangs in 20 mins and the only TR i count is mine.

I wont leave this car

in a parking lot either but we have a car thats in high demand, easy to chop. I wont lose any sleep while its parked in the garage but after reading some threads it would really suck to take a huge hit with 12k invested on up and get bluebook if stolen..even with appraisal ive read about the hassle involved with that.

Eric you dont have to worry cause theres too many toyota camarys and honda accords down there in central Fl to be had:biggrin:

In today's world it's a fine line between caution and paranoia. I'd rather take the time and effort to be careful with my car and where I leave it and how I store it, rather than have it disappear one day and wish I had done more.

If you live in an area where you don't have to worry about your car, good for you, you don't have to act like the rest of us are complete morons for worrying about ours.

So what. 20 years ago you almost became the victim. What did you do? Thats right nothing.

Nothing ?? That's Funny, I thought I stopped a bunch of hoodlums from Stealing MY Car !!
And that Trigger You would have "no problem pulling" ? Is that on the gun you would be "Damned" sure you would never "Resort to Carry" ??
You are Lucky where you live you don't feel you need to carry. I don't do it for fun. :(

No suprise there. They are simple to steal. Everyone who owns one should have a kill switch. That should be a no-brainer....

I get the same paranoid ship from my in law he lived in Pleasant Ville his whole lifeyou know cars unlocked all night front door unlocked all night. And I lived in Brooklyn 2 Pit Bulls 6 locks on the doors bars on the windows.
