it does say right at the beginning that they are showing "reenactments". everyone on the show is a paid actor.
i made it about 10 minutes into the first episode before deciding that it's not something i choose to waste my time on.

Yep, even Gold Rush is getting pretty bad. It was OK the first season, but it's not too difficult to notice when they are just staging scenes.

entertaining video charlie.

i like the show myself.i used to go down to maple grove raceway all the time back in the mid 90's early 2000's and its in lancaster county and you would see all the buggies and the people and being from CT and the city it was interesting to me to see a diffrent way of life. there is a smorgasboard that was run by the amish/menonite people and it had the most awesome food ever eaten at the type of restaurant.

I live right in the middle of amish country,so I happen to know a little bit about them, and this show is total bs!But yet I find myself watching it just to see what stupidity they come up with next lol.ttaowner, you must be talking about shady maple smorgasboard, its 20 minutes from my house.

Yes shady maple !!!!! I have dreams about that place but haven't been there in like 7 years now. We call them buffets up here and the quality of food isn't even close to yours unless we go to the casino but I don't like a lot of the food at the casino and it's like $25 each

Yeah and this is the show to take over for occ. totally ridiculous . Discovery is going the way of tlc. It's amazing what people will watch these days for entertainment :(

You guys bring back some fond memories. I haven't heard the name shady maple in over 30 years and it does bring back some good memories.

What is everyone's favorite night to go?
