I was told that an anti roll bar will have no ill effects on a street car (except that it will be tighter). Is there any downsides to having one on the street? Im talking as far as damage to the bar/car/frame or anything like that? Or does it just make the ride different? Thank you for your help.

I cant figure out if you meen anti roll bar or roll bar

anti roll bar is a sway bar ...roll bar meening roll cage

which one?

Im talking anti-roll bar (TRZ or Comp. Engineering) that bolts/welds to the frame under the rear of the car and is adjustable (like the mustangs use) to make the car leave straight.

gotcha.

I dont run one but would bet it would suck to drive everyday.
I consitered doing one of them but remove one end link for street driving and leave stock sway bar on

IMO.. the atr bar is too stiff

Some have said the ride would suck. Usually people that dont have one. I know Jack Cotton uses one and said there were no ill effects. One consideration is exhaust routing. Its almost impossible to route an over the axle exhaust with one.

Thanks for your replies so far guys.

I have an ATR 3" single shot system on my car now.

I hope someone who has one of these anti-roll setups will post with street driving results.

personally, i like the atr bar. nice and simple. is this other bar you're talking about like the wolfe bar?

I made one for my car like the wolfcraft bar. I don't have a lot of street time on it. It makes alittle noise but then so does the roll bar. It goes thru turns like it's on rails. NO body roll. No down sides i can see other than a little rattle. And making the exhaust fit around it. I made my own to fit around my exhaust.

Im pretty sure its the same thing. Will it work with ATR 3" single shot exhaust?

Scott, I was referring to the TRZ/Comp. Engineering bar being similar to the wolfe bar. I know the ATR rear sway bar is larger than stock.

I am wondering if the weld-in type rear anti-roll bar (TRZ, Comp. Engineering, Wolfe) will fit with the 3" ATR single shot exhaust, and what the street manners are like.
