Who's driving the Dutt/Gallina car now??

The driver is Billy Chaffin.

The car is having some valve train and converter problems as it is the first time at a track for this combination.

On Kenny's dyno, the engine produced almost 1900 HP, not bad for a pair of 82mm turbos! :)

Thanks for the update, I sounds like they are in uncharted HP territory for our motors.
That sounds like a couple hundred more horses to tame...

Big congrats to Jason !!! You have definitely earned it.
Good luck to all racers on the track. Be safe !

8.7Beautiful TSM car hit the wall half track in elims
There must have been a problem with the clocks, there is no way he could go180 on a 8.70 pass. He would have had to pickup 40-45mph from the 1/8th.

How about TSA?? The air was good, but did the cool track temps lead to the wrecks?
Congrats to Cruz for the mph, White for breaking 8's, and Kevin B for breaking 9's. The Buick racing scene has been quiet for awhile. It seems like every race has been rained out, too hot, or poor track conditions.

Chris H's car is probably totaled.

Wow, that's not good at all, I hope he at least made it out of the car uninjured?? Sounds like the weather was great, but maybe the track conditions were far from optimal.

-EDIT- seen he made it out ok in the other link you posted.

They left late so Chris may not have chased down John, but they threw more power in it than the 9.26 pass.
It sounds like they lost an axle.

Chris is sore but doing well. Most of the soreness is in the neck area which is to be expected. Thanks for everyone's concern.

I walked the entire track with Jason White and could find no signs of fluid. Fluid was my 1st thought since I did put a little more power in it for this round. From walking the track you can clearly see where the left rear tire started spinning before the 330 marker. This would indicate a broken right rear axle. Another hint was when the fork lift was positioning the car to load it on the trailer you could not hear the rear tires spinning as a car does when it has a spool in the rear end when making tight turns. It had Moser 30 spline axles with a spool. When we find out more we'll let everyone know.

Correct. I got a PM stating the car only went 137 in the 660' so you got the point nailed down.... Not sure if the info I got was correct, but I would think somebody must have seen something to send me this info....

As far as TSA the same guy, can't remember his name, has won TSA 3 years in a row. He has made more $$ in the last 3 years racing his STOCK appearing car than most anyone would make in their entire career. Not bad for a low 11 second ride

I haven't got to look over all the data yet but his trap rpm was higher on this 180mph pass than it was on his 176mph pass where he set the mph record. Once he looks at the driveshaft data he'll know for sure.

As for the mph at the 1/8. I run 1/4 very little but I probably pay more attention to the 1/8 numbers than most even when running 1/4. If you peddle early in the run your 1/8mph will suffer but the car will always make it up on the back half. I personally have seen cars run 4mph slower to the 1/8 but run the same mph out the back. When a car spins early in the run it will pick up 4-5 mph more on the back half that it would on a normal pass.

what do you mean??? does this mean my 179 mph pass is not correct? how about Fiscus going 199 mph?
