Anybody purchase parts from marvin's gn? (Marivin Nichols) Purchased a downpipe from him and have not had any luck in receiving the parts or a tracking number from him, we have been talking but it seems he does not want to come through with the tracking number which he says he has, pipe was shipped almost two weeks ago? I have a really bad feeling about this one...

I am in the EXACT situation. I will wait another day and then file a complaint with paypal. I am thinking I also got took. He won't reply to any of my emails and also will not provide a tracking number

If he was a supporting vendor I would gladly give you the contact info as we collect on all of our vendors..... Just a little advantage of buying from vendors on the board, a little reassurance....

No. I don't have any info on the guy. I sent him paypal to build my downpipe about 4-5 weeks ago.

Ok, here is where im at with him. I went to his house and gave him a down payment to make me a 3.5" pipe. Two weeks go by and still no downpipe. He told me he had two pipes made one for stock headers and one for TA headers. He told me that he shipped the wrong pipe out and he is waiting to get it back , so he can give it to me. He said if he doesn't get the pipe back tomorrow he is going to give me the one that he is just about finished making. I've been in contact with him 5 or 6 times over this two week period. I've seen these pipes in person and they are nice. I should have my pipe by tomorrow evening. He is making another one for me ( so he says ). Im going to his house tomorrow to pick it up. I have his cell number, but im not going to give it out yet. I know where he lives and I know where he works. He's not going anywhere. I will call him later today and let him know that people are not happy with him right now.

I need to know how many people does he owe pipes to? What was his promise delivery date? How late is he?

I will try to help if I can.

: So..........I called his work today and the girls say he is out of town on a family emergency.....I PM his number to Craig (CS99) and he calls him at his place of work, guess who is working today Craig says he sounds all nervous and will send a tracking number tonight, I call bull****!

Maybe he thinks I will not do anything since I live on the West Coast (Vancouver) Screw it, I'm booking a plane ticket. If he does not come clean he'll wish he never met me.

BTW: I have paid for a 3.5inch DP for TA headers with a stock passenger mount plus test/cutout pipe. Thanks for helping us out with this Chris.

Thanks Chris, my name is Datar. Honesty is the best policy, if he was in trouble and bogged down I from a customers point of view would like to have heard about it, I am a very reasonable guy when someone is telling the truth. If it was going to take a couple more weeks then I would deal with it, knowing I was going to recieve a DP. I have been in limbo for almost two months waiting on parts, thats life with these cars...bottom line is I know the parts will come sooner or later.

He still owes me a 3.5" that I don't even need complete, it is for a 4-bolt turbo with ATR's and I told him just to get it close and I will finsh it off. He told me it was done two or three weeks ago and he needed my address for a shipping quote, but he has never given me the shipping cost. I have only PMed him once a week and he has not responded. I figered he was out of town or something happened. I just hope everything is ok and he makes everyone happy. :smile:

He ows me a downpipe. It is a 3 1/2 stainless with integral wastegate and a dump pipe with stock style flange. He said it shipped out on 8-13-07. I paid using my credit card through paypal so I filed a claim today with c.c. company. -Craig

I just paid him on Aug. 12th via pay pal for a 4" DP with external waistgate he wanted the flang size and Part # before I ordered it from him then siad he was all set. I was told Id have it in 2 weeks! Its only been 1 week so Ill give him another week or so but I WILL NOT BE Screwed! I know pay pal in and out and Ill file the needed things to get my $$ back if comunication drops out.
Also My name is Derek Dawson so if you see him ask him how my pipe is comming along I could use it sooner than later

Well, just got off the phone with Marvin.I will give him the benifit of the doubt...seems like the shipping company he uses is losing/misplacing some pipes. Chris Mcade vouched for a nice product which makes me feel better, now that we have finally spoken a few details have been cleared up.

The downpipe had been shipped awhile back but didn't make it, the tracking number had been misplaced so he said to go ahead and file for a return from Paypal to get my money back and so he has something to present to UPS for insurance/re-imbursement for a lost package. If the DP does show up eventually he asked to ship it back or pay for it, my choice.

Same thing here. I talked to Marvin today and he said packages got lost and he does not have the tracking numbers. Anyone who payed through paypal is to file a claim. He asked me to post his work phone number on the forums here so that anyone wanting to contact him can. It is 281-316-1880.
