It's an additive to pump gas that raises the octane rating to a maximum of 105 unleaded. Normally I don't trust "octane boosters" but was curious on this one.

I tested a product by Dragon Fuels that is a "concentrate"
Added to 15 gallons of 93 claims to give you about 102,octane.
I raised boost incrementally until I had detonation retard... Which I didn't. I ran out of turbo (mustang SVO)
I noticed a definite pick up in pep through each gear throughout the rpm band.
Pulled the plugs after and had no orange residue which the crappy octane boosters leave behind. This stuff was billed as race fuel concentrate, not an octane booster. While I would much rather have true 108, in a pinch I would use this.

Give it a try Mike and see how it works , sounds good , it is a concentrate from the web site and unleaded approved .

You will need about 6 oz.of that product per gallon of gas to achieve the octane that they claim and the price of there product is about $1.00 per ounce so it will cost somewhere around $10.00 per gallon of fuel by the time you purchase premium pump fuel.Just as cheap to buy race fuel or better yet alky injection!!

I have also seen Dragon Fuels concentrate too. Years ago I used to make homebrew to raise octane. It worked well but mixing those chemicals was not convenient. Just might give it a try on race day. It would be easier than lugging 5 gallons of 105 unleaded.

For many years local racers have used the Torco fuel additive with great success.

When used in a turbo application we have seen that is does what is claimed as we have verified the results on the dyno, as well as on street cars.

My opinion is is is an excellent product in many situations, especially for cars that are driven little, but when driven the owner desires that "extra" performance w/o the expense and complexity of alky injection or race gas.

The info on their web site is what we follow as it does work in that manner:

I've used the Torco stuff before with good results in my GTP Grand Prix. I always got the orange residue though that I didn't care for. Why didn't I care for it? Not sure, it never seem to hurt anything like O2 sensors or cats or anything.

The NOS brand off road racing formula in the silver bottle works as well. Makes 15 gallons 100ish octane and flat works IMO. It does however leave the MMT orange tint on the plugs but for 14 bucks a bottle at auto zone here im ok with it.

I used it for 3 tanks back to back last year and the map line failed on my car and the alky never came on and popped the head gaskets. When I pulled teh heads the valves, piston crowns and CC didnt look gummed/caked up with orange as many claim with the MMT, etc.

I dont mean to hyjack the thread, I have used Amzoil octaine boost, has anybody used it as well.

I guess what I was trying to say is it will cost you more than race fuel so why would you use this product!!

I used this stuff in my 12:1 464 GS and it seemed to work pretty good. Don't think it's available any more though

Yes, I ran a TT 100 octane chip with it. Ran strong. Went to alky right after that.
