I have to say I'm pretty happy with the combo. First hit it went 11.24@120 mph. Found the alchohol pump was bad, Julio hooked me up with a new one then went out and went 11.74 @ 124. Only change was the pump.
Today first pass it went 11.06 blowing the up pipe off. My fault I forgot to tighten the clamp all the way. That pass it went 118, and 7.10 @ 101 in the 1/8th.
All passes were with 23 psi on Nittos.
Overall I think with some tuning it should go over 130 mph. It would have been nice to have gone 10.90 on nittos's but on well at least the mph was good for tens
So John Wilde you should be happy now that we now hve some real world times for this turbo.

Thanks for sharing the times. Sounds about as fast as I would want to go if I'm still going to consider my car a "street car". Will probably order a turbo soon...

Great times Damon. Have a safe trip back home. I will call when I get that new cam installed.

Damon,

Congratulations for getting the car out and having some fun.
I wonder if we should have a sticky thread for 6776BB times???

sticky would be cool. I know theres alot more in this combo.

I would agree...

Its hard to figure out what an et would be, but if u can getthe car to mph at least 125 and 60 ft under 1.6 U should be able to go 10.60 or real close to that. Looks like U will have an easier time getting into the 10s than I did. I was stuck on 11.03 at 124, but found a significant convertor issue during a refresh last week. "The elusive 10 second pass."

If the up-pipe wouldn't have popped off that would have been at least a 10.90. I think it came off somewhere before the 1000' mark. Actually I looked at the slip again and it was a 7.03 @101.

Yep, I ran a 7.001 @ 100.2 1/8th / 10.909 @ 126 1/4 (1.633 60 ft) first time out also, so you where right there at the 10.9XX mark.
I believe these 6776 bb turbos have a ton left in them. Right combos should easily drop into low 10's high 9's.

There should be no mph advantage over a non BB if the converter is correct. Definitely should come up faster out of the hole though.

Hey Todd, Congrats in being in the 10sec club

Thanks John,
Still on a high from the Noble event. Great times with a bunch of Buick guys!

Hey Todd, post all of your combo, if you don't mind. Also on that 10.90 pass what was your 1000' time? Thanks!

Believe that gets most of the main stuff.

1000 ft time was 9.122

This was first track trip with the FAST and 6776. I couldn't get the boost below 30 lbs (waste gate hole issue)!!!!! I had to go to a 93 oct tune, (was running c16 fuel) pulled timing out and maxed O2 correction to make a wide open pass. i was a little nervous about it but, it survived. Gotta thank Disco stu for helping out.

23 pounds of boost on all passes. Todd looks good and thanks for the timeslip info.

HP? Don't know, It should have over 500 at the wheels. It's a full weight car. My old car dyno'd 605 to the wheels and went 134 mph.

I was having problems with the car sputtering under load from time to time at the track. One pass it was fine then it would pop miss, fall over then the next three passes it was fine. I tried another coilpack/module from someone and no change. Turns out the one he loaned me was bad also. Just tried another one and it's a completly different car.

I knew it had to be that because on the 40 mile trip to and from the track the car would "cut out" every now and then. I've had the cp/module go out on me before in my old car and it did the same exact thing. Pop, miss under boost then eventually not run anymore.
