I don't think theyre available at an auto parts store. You could check with Brian at GbodyParts he should have one. Im not sure but I think theyre discontinued from GM.

no aftermarket , discontinued from GM , brian has (had) what was left in GM's stock

The only aftermarket is the champion brackets that replace the tensioner with a jack screw. Don't think they make one for the AC but if you have that gone it's a good piece to have....expensive but awesome.

Hi,
Why don't you check out the availability of this part before you blow off the regular aftermarket? A company called Dorman has been selling hardware for many years, and recently branched out into more formative items. I just bought an intake manifold set for an 98 Mustang GT 4.6 which was superbly made, only the highest quality. Chinese fabrication,no doubt, but it shows where these people are going....

Couple weeks ago was looking for one. Went to Napa, Advance, Autozone, Oreilly's, Fischer and the GM dealer no dice. Found one searching on the boards.

A quick check of the Dorman/Motormite catalog comes up zelch for a belt tensioner too. And hardly anything that is TR specific is listed there. Comparing TR parts to garden variety Fords is like apples to oranges. About 40,000 IC turbo motors built compared to what? A bizillion mod motors?
