Best Headers???

OK, so back to my first question. I dont really care about political debates. I want a product that is Made in America, that is my option. So what is the best route to go for headers? Thanks! ----Jeremy

My question is what are your goals for your car?? Stock headers work well on these cars, however proned to cracking they are they seem to perform well, if I remember correctly Grumpy has a high nine second GN in full street trim with air and all the goodys and is still running stock headers, that says something to me..My car has TA headers, very nice fit and finish and runs like an animal. only purchased to remove the laim ass Hooker headers the last owner installed which are really only good on a very fast car (eights and nines)due to a major overdesign problem that incorperates at least twice as much tubing as a Ta or comprable..Spools slower than molases.....Hth, Ryan

ArizonaGN headers

Hey Jeremy I've been running the AzGN stainless headers for a year now and I have no regrets at all. They flat out work and they fit perfectly. Some of the best $ I've spent on my car.

You would need a set of felpro 1400 header gaskets if you are running iron heads. The TA gaskets included with the headers are apparently meant for TA aluminum heads with huge ports. And re-torque the header bolts after driving the car a few times.

There are many headers to choose form now that is for sure.

There is plenty of opinions on the subject here, this is mine.

Certain Chinese headers work better than others. They all seem to need a little work, up to the buyer to decide whether it is worth it or not.... Do a little research and you will see the best route to take there..... Watch out for the ebay stuff...

TA's AZGN's are great no doubt and work.... Good design! Great company great support...

Stockers still work great, if salvageable and you have somebody to repair them....

The headers Jay and I (C.A.G.E. Racing) are doing 1" 5/8th headers bigger than all of these. These are headers and not a log manifold on the passenger side. Will be geared more towards faster cars. But will work on any car!

There are your options basically. I am just happy as can be we have so many choices now. I remember 3 yrs ago when Used Hooker Super Comps were bringing $600+ on ebay I bought a set They are for sale btw if anyone wants them:biggrin:

Point is we got options now, do research leave all the flaming out and see what fits your goals and budget!

I have found that most of the time you get what you pay for...

LOL, this post started as headers and ended up economy. Either way, I own two japanese cars because they are reliable. My buick is my toy because I LIKE to work on it. Until Americans start making things reliable, I will always buy Japanese. It seems all americans care about is getting paid. Im sure I will start an argument here but how many businesses have you worked for that are all about cutting costs? And who gets the money that was saved? I guarantee it wasnt the employees. So even if the china headers are crap, it was an american who outsourced them to make some easy money. American pride? I say american crooks. China and Japan are like comparing apples and oranges anyways as far as quality.

Exactly my point. But I "earn" my money. I don't try to go around selling cheap knockoff products for a buck. I worked two full time jobs for a year to buy a GN. If I want money, I work for it. Thats where I get my name from. My name isnt Scott4DEZMny is it?

I don't think it's strictly an "all American or nothing" thing. I buy Japanese all the time, Korean also. Because they have very high quality, technology.
However, when it comes to china, that's a different story entirely.
The Japanese and Koreans for example are not bent on destroying our economy.

How are you gonna turn this around on me. The American Way is earning our money. So if I want more of it, I do it the AMERICAN WAY, not by outsourcing china to do it for me. Hope that clears that up. I wanted a GN so I worked for it, how does that make me just interested in money. Thats a flat out idiotic comment. I guess if my one job wasnt enough to get me a GN, I would have to deal with it right?
