Definately looks like a nice product. I see they say they are aluminized, I wonder if they would be better than ceramic coating or not? I think ceramic coating helps keep the engine bay cooler. Correct me if I'm wrong. I still wonder about prices? I think I am going to sit down and make a list and some phone calls. I'll keep you guys posted as to what I find as far as prices. I'd just like to hear some feedback from you guys about what fits good, flows good, 1/4 mile improvements, etc.

Onefastcar, no harm no foul, everybody is entitled to their opinions. Thats what we have the political section for.

If we dont continue to support our vendors, we are going to have a hard time getting parts. ATR is no longer around I sure would like a set of dual 3" stainless exhaust. Pretty hard to get now. I have heard a lot of good things about ArizonaGN's headers as well. I have heard the they make it easier to access the plugs. I wonder who's flows the best? ATR, Hooker, Postons, ArizonaGN, TA's? Prices?

We sell AZ gn's headers & I have sold ATR's, seen poston's etc. This will sound partial but they are the nicest set of headers I have seen yet.
I always keep all 3 in stock as well.

Have you looked at TA Performance? Looks as if they have a good set of aftermarket headers and from what I understand they are a very reputable company. I do not want to launch a political debate where things are made or assembled but I would focus on a vendor who stands behind their product. Any company who stands behind what they sell means far more to me than where it was made. Just my $0.02 worth.

china junk

Just so you guys know the ebay headers are junk at least the set i got last week are!
I'm still trying to decide what to do with them because they are about 6" from fitting and emailing the guy that i got them from is exhausting.
Got what i paid for and a headache!!
Sorry to make my first post a gripe.

Well, let me tell you about the header experience I had the other day. When I bought this car several months ago, it came with a set of the ATR knock-off headers...stainless, might I add. I have heard about fitment problems and such, so I thought I would test fit them on a block and heads I have in the garage before I got ready to put them in the car. I figured I could clean them up w/diegrinder to make them work pretty good, as they were free. WRONG! Two of the ports lined up, but the third was off at least 1/2". The bolt holes lined up, but the ports were not welded in the proper place:mad: I guess if one did not notice or wasn't concerned about the ports lining up, they could have been installed(bolted up) to look ok from the outside. In my opinion, they might make good fishing weights.

Not saying all the knock-offs are this way, but these sure are. I don't know where the previous owner bought them, I just know they are the stainless ATR style.

Let me put it this way...When/if I buy a set, it will be the real deal...not the knock-offs.

To be exactly specific, aren't the ATR's copies of the KB's?

no clue...

So let me clear this up..when I said "When/if I buy a set, it will be the real deal...not the knock-offs", the knock-off was in reference to the ones plastered all over ebay for $150-$200.

i have a set of poton ceramic coated or what ever coating they are.Came in a box with the car.I installed them slide right in and look great two.So i say poston but i have seen alot of others out there that look just as good or better. But free is free and i'll stay with em till they are junk...:D

Poston's

I've been flogging the doo doo out of my poston ceramic coated headers for about five years now. Just had them off a few months ago to do ported heads, and they still look like new. Just stuck em right back on.

IMHO, I guess if your going to sell your car very soon, or don't care about cracks, leaks, or replacing stuff, then just buy the cheap ones. But if you plan on keeping your car longer than a year or two, or plan on turning up the boost, then the cheepest, and smartest way in the long run would be to buy good ones.

Happy spooling...

IMO, these are going to be the best one's available on the market soon...

those are goin to be for FAST cars like Jay said... for the normal ones I would go with Nicks/TA's ... are far as the China thing ... they can be very good at some electronic stuff but NOT at HEADERS:eek: :p personal opinion of course.. the way I see it if someone has time and skills to make the cheapies work go for it !!! I don't see what the problem is .. I value my time to much so Nick's are the way to go

I have to chuckle (actually laugh out loud) at the folks on here extoling the advantages of the crappy chinese made knock off headers on ebay.
The ebay vendors that are selling them are taking everybody for a ride and nobody seems to care, or even know.
I've counted no less than 8 different vendors selling the same pieces of crap on ebay, all for slightly different prices also.

Funny to say the least.

The really sad part is someone comes on here and asks for advice about buying American made headers and gets his ass handed to him on a platter. "onefastcar" your display on here was to say the least, pretty indicative of what's going on lately.
"jdpolzin" was only expressing his desire to buy American. He used no derrogetory terms, or outlandish language. He just said that he would like to buy American, not the chinese ebay knock-offs.

I don't even want to think about the tirade I'd get if ya'll knew my feelings on china. But then again some of you do.

Turbo Dave glad someone other than the prick that sold these to me got to laugh, but I did'nt!
I'm with you on the whole China thing by business has dropped over 60% in the last 3 years so I know all to well what we as a country are doing to ourselves!
Here I am the 11th hour ready to drop the motor back in and we find the driverside header cracked (should have known) so I find myself on this website and low and behold there at the top of the page a set of stainless headers for the car for under $200.00, must be my day right, ya right!
Was in a pinch and made an uneducated mistake, was'nt my first and I'm sure not my last.
As far as people not caring if they get screwed, I'm not in that catagory and E bay,Mr Cheng prick and I are going to go around on this one!
Sorry Dave but you hit a couple nerves here.
Down with China junk!!!!!!!!
Jeff
