What is the most efficient 3200 - 3400 non lock up converter available?

Less than 5% slip would be great.

CPT HELL YEAH!! , formerly art carr, i have a 9" non-lock-up and the difference on the car is DAY AND NIGHT it might cost a bit but well worth it and good driveability on the street. hope this helps

A CPT non locker is probably one of the most efficient, but it is certainly not 5% or less........ more like 8 - 10%

PTC- Contact Dusty Bradford on here via PM. Ive seen first hand what these units produce in a high torque/hp TSO car. Otto J's car in particular. Slip was under 5% and nothing was sacrificed on spool up with a 270+ cube TSO engine making around 900hp. I was amazed at the ability of this converter to couple up top. He picked up nearly 5 mph and it pulled the trap rpm down by 600 rpm! This is exactly what you need if you run a hydraulic roller and want to squeeze everything you can out of it up top.


Pro-Torque- Contact Chris at CK performance. Reported slip of under 5% also.

Ive seen 8-9% slip on a CPT non locker. Very good converter for the price that has proven durability over the last couple years in many 9 and 10 second cars.

We use PTC's at the shop I work at in many 8, 9 and 10 second Mustangs.
Among the best guys out there for building a convertor for a forced inducted car.

Props to Dusty and the PTC convertors. I am real pleased with the new 9.5 inch converter that they came out with. I am getting 1000 rpm drop on the shifts with 26 psi and run 9.81 @ 137.

Thanks guys. As always, this kind of feedback helps us make an even better product and helps the future buyers as well. Feedback from different combos helps us get it right the 1st time.

FYI. Our 9.5 unit will shame any Art Carr unit out there. Texas or the Real Art Carr. We've cut one open after breaking it and wasn't impressed with the internals. They are equivalent to a PTC Street converter which runs around $500
