Awesome street/strip BRF trans...
This has all of my normal build up goodies!
Heat treated drum and input shaft, rollerized gear train, modded 694 servo, and -NO- trans brake in this one. This is a lock up trans.
The unit also has 550 and 400 boost valves, rev kit, Alto wide red band, billet anchor pin, and extra clutches throughout.
This trans will have nice quick/crisp shifts. (no headbangers) And will easily take the palce of a BRF.
$1850 includes shipping.
No core needed in return.

Feedback can be viewed in the feedback area. Search under, brian or Brian Hofer.
Thank you very much...

hey brian, i was just wondering how much of a thrashing a trans like that could take? 60ft. times/launch psi, 1/4times, power output? just wondering so when the stocker quits i'll have an idea as to what im lookin at! thanks!

The engineering and hydraulics are good well into the 10`s.
The factory drum, and input are the limiting factors. But, with most of the current crop of converters, usually this is not an issue.

cool ive heard about the input and drum before. what do u mean by the last line though, is that because the newer converters r not as harsh on those parts? thats one thing i need to look into because my cheapo red stripe from full throttle is not cutting it stall wise atleast! thanks!

With most any other converter besides a Vigilante you are fine,
The less weight, and reduced shift firmness given by the smaller converters helps the stock parts live.

TTT

I can throw a brake in this as well for $100 more!

thanks brian

sounds like another great trans
i'll see if i can send someone your direction
thanks

stock tranny

Brian, how far can one take the stock tranny before it breaks? I guess the indicator I'd be looking for in 1/4 mile time. How about a converter, when should one upgrade? You said earlier about no vigilante's...can you pls elaborate? I know nothing on torque converters/trannies. Thanks!

Brian,
Hi,spoke to you a little back when you had 2 stage right trans brakes up for
sale, but 1 guy bought them both.Woundering do you have another 1 avalible?
,cause im looking for one, when you get a chance let me know.
Thanks,
John

Ryan,
The reason for no Vig converter with this build is... the billet drum and input should be used with those converters. The way my build is here, and the way trannies shift, they seem to clip off the drum more often than not with this converter.
But, with the other build I sometimes post, you can. I always try to point that out.

Your stock trans and converter may last you well into the 11`s. The more you do to help it now the better. Install a good "shift kit", and give the trans a new filter and fluid.
CK sells a nice complete low cost kit, that comes with everything you need.
PTS sells a nice kit as well, you just need to get his pressure regulator set up as well. I use my own set up that I do not sell.
If you like a mild shift go CK, or firmer PTS. Just my $.02
If you use a 44-49 you may not need to change converters for a bit, if you don`t mind a little slower spool up.
