I have a 3500 stall Precision industry vigilanti converter from my TTA, on the 200-4r. I want to put this in my corvette that has a 600 hp sbc 427. Will it bolt to the flex plate on the Chevy and will the stall change? The trans in the vette is also a 200-4r.

Thanks

You could use if but I doubt I'd would be ideal. A 600hp naturally aspirated engine under 500ci needs some rpm. It likely needs a lot more stall to work effectively. In a light car like that it needs to be even looser to be optimal.

If your converter stalls 3400 at 0-1# of boost, it will stall close to 4000 rpm behind the small block. I'm guessing your converter actually stalls 3000-3200 so it may go 3600 behind the small block. If the Chevy has a dual pattern flexplate, it will bolt right up. The Buick converter uses a small bolt pattern but most chevy flexplates have both patterns. Just check the flexplate to see if it has a wide pattern and narrow pattern.

It should be a good converter for driving but I doubt it will be best for all out performance. Only way to know for sure is to put it in the car and try it. Then with that data it can be restalled to work properly.
