Can this speedometer gear hole be repaired? I would like to know before I make an attempt @ rebuilding this tranny.
This is the original out of the car. This one let go on me in Vermont. The converter was stuck this one on the pump. Yesterday I decide to pull it out of the weed’s and take a second look. And this time the converter came right off. And when I looked into the converter, I seen little roller needle bearings from what it looked like a Torrington bearing assembly. Do the “orange stripe” converters have Torrington bearing in them?
I think what happened, when they tried to remove the converter those needles where hang up? Not sure, But it is off now.
So back to the speedometer gear hole.
