As off this moment it won't work with Windows 8 even with the updated driver from F.A.S.T. website. I just got done dealing with all that hassle myself after my laptop took a dump on me. Now I can personally vouch for it working with Windows 7, and I'm currently using a Vista computer. When you download the C-Comp program make sure to download and extract the driver files. Once that is done and you've get the car connected to the computer and the program running, if your having trouble connecting change the comports on the program to match the comports on the laptop. Make sure that under your laptops device manger you have the USB port the same comport as the comport picked with the program.
