Anybody used it, I know it is expensive. I have a 23x16 pool deck. We are replacing the pool and I have some deck repairs to do. It is tempting.

i havent used it but I am subscribing to see what has to be said. I have a 16x 30 that I replaced some of the boards on last year but ....

I install lots of decks. I mostly use a company called timbertech. The most expensive line is around $4.50 per linear foot plus $1.00 per sq. ft. For the hidden fastener system. If it is in full sun, stay away from he darker colors and try to get the full PVC planks, not the composite with PVC clad. The solid PVC doesn't get as hot as the composite.

I've used it before and it is a good product except the price. The nice thing is you do it once and your done. If you don't want to spend the money I have had good luck with deck restore.

Inground? I used Sundeck, it's ~ $5/sq ft. Much cheaper than composite decking and they can do different textures/patterns, etc.

Mine is above ground. Best price I have found is at Lowe's about $2k for 23 x 16. Deck sees a lot of sun. My house is cedar and my deck is a brown shade so the composite will be brownish as well.

Used timbertek.on my gfs deck. Stuff is great expensive but well worth it. Even wet its not slippery which I was surprised at..with the hidden fasters the deck comes out looking beautful. If you plan to live there for a while more maybe 5yrs or better its def worth it.

bought a house that already had a composite deck. So far, 3 yrs. and not a single problem. I like it...........

I installed an Azek deck back around 2010 maybe, and it started to fade after about 2-3 years .....both the decking and the railing system in Brownstone. I am still pissed at the $$ I spent to have it look like it does now and I thought I did all my research and picked a good brand! The deck see 90% sun from about 10am on.

Supposedly Azek has changed but I would want to see a deck that has been up for a few years 1st before jumping in. Actually my Uncle....after seeing mine with his deck guy still ended up going with Azek deck boards in the same color on his new deck he put up at the end of last year.....so I guess I will see if they have changed. His deck guy said he had never seen one as bad as mine....figures!:shifty:

I also wrote Azek on my company letterhead and never even got a response from them.

Good Luck I hope you can find something good!

I just redid my upper 8'x26' & lower 16'x26' decks with Lowes composite last summer . I think it's called Choice Deck in grey and picture framed it & rail tops with dark brown Trex. Also I ran it for a wall 4'x26' from the bottom of the top deck to lower deck so you couldn't see under the top deck. I had used this same decking for our above ground pool deck 7 years ago and got $1000 for the deck & old pool when we got rid of it ! It faded a little but being grey it still looked good just lighter. It held up great that's why I spent $3500 for more of it to cover my pressure treated foot splinter deck boards !! I used the fastening method from Home Depot which puts the screws in at about a 45* angle on the board edge with a special tool and you hardly see any fasteners. They are much cheaper than the hidden system at Lowes. What is nice is you don't pay more for 16 footers like wood so you can do it with no butt seams ! I'd show you some pics but it's all under 3' of snow right now !! Good luck , Sam
