Could use a quick answer on a? about air testing direct drum.

While air testing the direct drum in a friends transmission I noticed it leaking (bubbles) from the inside seal. I replaced it and reinstalled and still have the air leak. Im using 60-70 psi of air. Im guessing its fairly normal and it wouldn't be a leak when transmission fluid is the pressure and not the air. Is there an acceptable amount of leakage? The piston raises normal with pressure and drops when the pressure is taken off. Thanks for any help.

nevermind, i had a brain fart, its not the piston seal leaking its air getting past the metal sealing rings on the center support.

I read that you should set to 30 psi no more and that some air leak is normal. The pistons should lift and drop firmly.

Using metal rings? What is your planned max line pressure?

Where do you get the teflon rings? Every trans vendor up here only lists the iron rings for the center support.
