Ok, heres the deal on the turbo. I will call the Gery guy and try again to get something figured out. The thing is I spent quite a bit on this turbo once at Cottons and do not want to do so again. I am hoping for a used turbo, not a new one. The run around was the fact that the guy was not interested in helping me figure out how to re-build it all he wanted was a new sale and to go bigger....

probably just some miscommunication.... we don't re-build turbos here. if it's a turbonetics, we ship it out to them... if it's a precision/garrett... we ship it to precision. depending on what the turbo needs for a rebuild, it could get up to $800 which is almost the price of buying a new turbo with another 1 year warranty, as opposed to spending the $800 to rebuild the turbo and getting no warranty. give me a call and we can go over some numbers...

What failed on your 66?

Justin,

Not sure what this is for, nor how you come up with the run around statement. We don't rebuild turbos, they go back to T-netics, what's the run around? What did you want me to do?... If you did not want to rebuild, what's the options, find a used one or buy a new one, I didn't have a used one, I have new ones on the shelf.... if you wanted one, we had it. If you want to find a used one why are you slamming me here?>

By the way, I found your email, do I need to post it here? In it you said you bought a car with a 66 turbo.... so what is it, you bought the turbo recently or it was a 6 year old turbo? heck, easier to just cut and paste your email..

Hi Jack, I purchased a car that had a CPT-66 turbo on it from a customer of yours. I need it to be rebuilt and do not want to have to buy a whole new turbo. I loved the turbo and it looked great! It seems to need all new internals. I have worked on these cars for years and just have never had a turbonetics. I called them to buy a complete kit minus the housings and they don't seem to be willing to work with me. Can you do anything?

As for the housings, the turbo was so old, it had wheels that are no longer available, hence the housings could not be used unless you used bigger wheels allowing the housings to be machined.. get it? If you call GM for a 3.8l turbo motor, are they not working with you because they don't make the motor anymore?

Thank you Miquel for your explanation for Bison

First off, I was not slamming you Jack. Grow up. I have seen how you have been called out and how it ends up. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN PLAYING YOUR GAMES. I spent money on this turbo with you the first time it was sent out for a rebuild! I payed for it but it was under the previous owners name. WHO CARES ABOUT THAT! You are really making a bad name for yourself as of late and as I said I wanted no part of it. Thus the reason I never called Gerry about it. I don't want the drama. But, here we go with the drama once again... Thanks for that. I explained the run-around. I didn't feel it was needed to go into detail about it but now that you FINALLY are reading the Email that was sent, I asked about a used one that was listed on the site and the guy on the phone said all he had was new... A big difference in price tags. Not everyone has that cash right now but when I asked him about it he had no idea why the site said you had a used one. Again, I was not looking for the drama but thanks.

Oh, before you get to it after I was told it was going to be quite a bit of money I asked the guy about the used one. Again, this is about getting a turbo not slamming Jack Cotton. I just need a turbo.

Justin I also have a use CPT66 ball bearing for $800 shipped

It Looks like this is a option at this point, however I would consider going the route of a Precision turbo out of personal preference IMHO.

Good luck and let us know how it works out.

That is probably what will happen. I think I'll give another shop a call...

Again Jack, please don't polute this. If you want to say something to me, E-mail me... You found my E-mail so you have it. Thanks ahead of time.

Sorry, but you started the drama, I don't see how someone like you twisting your story up and bringing me into it, does not justify me responding. It's ok for you to twist but not for me to respond. Think you need to grow up.

See, it's easy to post.. it goes like this. " Looking for a 66 or similar turbo"... easy huh?

I did nothing wrong to you, no reason for the digs. No run around here, you did the running around!! Get your facts straight and leave me out of it. If you had a legitimate problem with a product from us, I would be the first one to step up to the plate to help you.

As for the bad name, and drama, ya right... here we go again, I see you posted asking me not to polute this, WTF have you done from the beginning... when I wasn't around. I'm sorry if I didn't respond to your email, I do miss email, thats just the way it is sometimes, I get 100 emails a day, if I miss a day alot gets burried.. I try to catch up but just don't. Does that make me a bad guy or mean I'm giving you a run around..

To be honest with ya here, I'm done, I said what I needed to say... have fun guys. If you need some kind of service for your turbo, you are welcome to call Gerry and he will do what he can to help, if not, good luck...
