.003 to .011 is in spec . View attachment 312389 View attachment 312390 i Think its fine i like a little Extra not to tight more room for oil .I modify the bearing to let oil get to the rear thrust side of the bearing

While you're there, match port all the oil holes to the block. Then take a rounded needle file and radius the trailing edge based on direction of crank rotation. That will help ''drag'' the oil in. Might as well use parasitic viscous drag for something.

I drill that oil galley out in the bearing .Again really dont know if any of it helps but added insurance.I had a big thrust problem at one time and it was all due to transmission line pressure

Yeah, too much pressure from the torque converter will overwhelm any thrust set up, no matter how right it is.
