crown vic TBI injectors

hey, this may be a dumb question but I had a guy tell me that throttle body injection rides like Lincolns or Crowns had high # rated injectors that'd work in an EFI system. Anyone ever play with this at all, or even heard of it? It'd be a good way to get lots of cheap injectors that are probably near 50#s. He's got a Merkur and a Fairlane he's gonna turbo if it's a significant bit of info (as he put it pistons are only $5 each)

Typically TBI injectors are low Z, so you'd still need to do the ecm modification.

Then there's the matter of building holders for them, since most mount differently.

Not to mention the fuel pressures are typically much different.
