I just wanted to get some opinions other then my own. Im looking at getting a daily driver and plan on keeping it around for a while. So far im looking at srt8 jeep, srt8 challenger, and a C63 AMG. I like the jeep becuase we do get snow around here but the gas mialge on that would kill me for the other three seasons. The challenger is pure sex. They get ok milage for a big V8 and of course haul ass. The C63 is kinda a stretch. Its expensive to fix/maintain, gets good milage and believe it or not are a blast to drive. Only come in auto tho... Any suggestions or expierences would help, thanks.

jeeeeeep more room more horse , challenger no room at all. c63 nice but if something breaks arm and a leg....

ive driven a srt8 jeep and a challenger...i would go with the jeep and the c63 ive always heard the same that if something breaks its going to cost you ..

Id rather drive the 72 cutlass.
4 snow tires is a lot cheaper than a car payment.

o i meant to say that the srt8 jeep feels like it has more balls becuase its all wheel drive ..

hello; If I wanted a car like your talking about I'd also look into Audi's. Personally I like there wagons. You'd have some room for stuff , go in the snow, and be enough to get you excited. I even like the Volvo V70 R if they still make it.

Just drove a few SRT8 Challengers over the w/e for a daily driver, and a GS Supercharged Vette, but no deals yet. Still lookin. If I have to drive it daily, its going to be fun! I enjoy driving spirited to work and home each day :) We have a truck if we ever need room for something but the Challenger has a huge trunk!

That's a very different range of cars. It's like what you would want in the garage, not just one. Out of the 3 you listed though< i would take the C63 although MB maintenance I'm sure can very expensive. If it's a stretch to buy, maybe pass on that.

I vote the C63. I have an E55 & the wife has a GL550, nobody builds them like MB and it's apparent especially on a nice highway ride. I had a lot of nice cars and the MB's are just very nice to drive albeit I do buy them used as their ridiculous new. I have had no problems with either of my MB's however things like an oil change or brake pads are expensive even doing it yourself so you are correct in assuming the maintenance isn't cheap. And the only other problem is once you own one...and want to get another car down the road, not much else compares so your hooked :)

Oh and I can beat the snot out of challengers & srt jeeps in the E55 except for the extremeo's !

I drove a TBSS and I dont mean to piss anyone off but I just didnt like it. My roommate had one and I found the speed limiter he didnt know he had. It got up and went but just wasnt fun. The G8 is another one I need to look in to.

Ive driven the challenger before, now I just need to drive the other two and see what I like

Have you considered the CTS-V? Their pretty sweet. Cadillac didn't mess around with that car and the interior is very nice.

...No I havent but now I am...

Their beautiful cars however pricey like the C63 due to popularity....If your yearly travel mileage isn't too heavy and you want a really mean car for an affordable price, you may want to check out a late model E55 ( 06' was the last year...would only consider 05'-06'). They are quite sick w/ minimal mods and the 5.5 hand built motor has an excellent rep....actually has a better rep then the 6.3.

I LOVED my '08 Jeep SRT8. Daily driven for 4 years and 70k+ miles. It was one of the most fun vehicles I've ever owned and never gave me a moments trouble. The only time it went into a shop was for oil changes. Dammit, I miss that thing. LOL

I've been in a few Challenger SRT8s, too. They are fun. But the 3.73 gears & AWD make the Jeep a kick ass ride. You will get the jump on most street car you run across at a red light.

On the subject of a TrailBlazer SS, they are ok. I had one for a couple of years. It looked cool and ran decent. But comparing AWD models, the Jeep is roughly a full second faster in the 1/4 and a good bit faster on the top end.

I have been driving my Challenger for a year and a half, and I love it. It does not see snow, but, for the other 8 months of the year I cannot wipe the grin off every time I get in it!
