Ford is definately on top of the market. I'm not a fan of any of the new Chevy's or Mopars. Even though I really dont like Fords at all, if it came to buying a new muscle car, I'd buy the Mustang any day. Chevy came in way too late while Ford came out in 03 with a BANG when they introduced the Supercharged Cobras. They are also rocking in the family sedan category with the Turbo 6 Taurus. And Ford didnt take the government bail out like eeryone else did. Thanks for being truely American Ford! The new Mustangs look SICK!
X2...I'm a GM guy but I manage a Ford Chrysler Dodge Jeep store and Ford really has their act together. From a dealer perspective, they are the easiest to work with and get answers when you need them. Every car company has issues because they are simply big companies, but Ford is the easiest to work with from service, to incentives, to warranty claims, to inventory distribution, and that says a lot about how organized they are. Mosy manufacturers are not dealer friendly, but Ford knows how to build and sell cars the right way. Are they perfect? No...but WAY better as a company than Chrysler or GM. Chrysler is making strides though and they remind me of Ford in 2006 to 2008 so hopefully four years from now they are doing great. GM is getting there, we have Chevy at another location, but they have some organizational hurdles they haven't conquered yet, and product issues, but that's another thread.
To the OP, we are a Shelby dealer and I'll still let a 2013 GT500 go for under MSRP. I'll take 5 orders under MSRP over selling one at anything over sticker. Get in line with the rest of the orders I've presold. We're only gauranteed one per model year but we've never had a problem getting all retail orders built any year yet.
