Thanks... I knew he was talking about opening a shop down in Jacksonville, but if the dirt bag is having to resort to stealing peoples stuff I doubt he is in any financial situation to move or to open a business. Really I think he is on the down low because I've heard he has screwed some guys on the Corvette forums also.

SCUMBAG section is a little over the top but "Disputes/Resolutions" section is too soft imo. People who have been ripped off for hundreds and thousands of dollars want these scumbags to be exposed for what they are and not sugar coat it. But that's just my opinion.

I don't see it that way.
It says that this section is for resolving disputes of any kind and is NOT INTENDED to be a mudslinging forum.
Just the facts,no name calling....people can infer their own conclusions.
That would help the board protect itself from being accused of promoting a "libelous atmosphere" and any further legal ramifcations.

If I was the person affected directly,I would probably feel the same way.
The poster did get his point across before the final comment.
As long as you can stick to facts as presented,their can be no libel,as far as I know.
I believe that's the way a court of law works at trial.

Speak of what is legal and not... really don't give a f#$k, when I'm saving my money by serving my country and some guy screws me out of that, they have joined an exclusive club of being considered an oxygen thief.....

I would word my complaint something like this:


On Feb. 10/2008,I sent a pair of iron cylinder heads to *Joe Buick* for porting,a valve job and new seals.
They were shipped FedEx,tracking number XYZ123.
According to FedEx,the heads were received and signed for on the 15th of Feb./2008.
A money order for the work was issued by my bank for the amount specified by Joe to have the work done [direct transfer to the account specified by Joe-I have a record of the transfer].
It's been 16 months~ and no sign of my heads finished and returned.
At this point I feel I've been more than patient so I have to ask:

What's the hold up?
Care to respond?

And he threatened to sue for "defamation" or "slander". But as already mentioned, the accusations or information has to actually be false for this to apply.

That said, from all recent indications, Hennessey has a new operations manager and they are actually paying their bills & delivering a good product again.

As long as you can prove your point by verifying the facts crooks don't have leg to stand on.
Don't show personal bias when you present your case.
Let the court of public opinion take care of it for you.

Maybe we should do address verifications for anyone that wants to sell on here. No verified addy, no selling. Most a$$hole scum bags wont bother to go through the trouble and will just go scam somewhere else. Even if this cost the person wanting to sell some $ it is still worth it imo. It will cut down on BS. Anytime parts are left and payment is given signed receipts with receiving parties drivers license # makes it a lot easier to track them down if you have to sue them. Maybe have potential sellers register and provide at minimum a copy of their license or state id. A fax would be ok. I wouldnt have any problem submitting this info or paying $10 for address verification.

Just so all knows this is the former Reds hot Air and all of this has been taken care of as he can post also. we did have loss of contact between him being in and out the country alot and myself going thru alot in my personal life but all is good now
