I was just curious on when its needed. my car is 100% street maybe hitting track 1x a yr. I've been thinking about just using 93 on the street and keeping boost moderate. i don't think i need it but i want to make sure fuel delivery is up to par. there a new walboro in there now… i know its not a cheap upgrade but fuel delivery is vital.

depends on power,i personally like the single intank with alky injection on a street car.if your going to make a lot of power on race gas than the double with a big injector should be in the car or a dedicated fuel system and pump but to me its more race car.

Single 255 and alky is plenty for mid to high 10s

yea I'm afraid to depend on alky i know its a proven system and i have a razors kit dry to install but just afraid of something stupid happening thats all. my car is called murphys law, lol

The 255 pump by itself is probably good to high 10s on its own on race gas I run my single 255 and alky to 10.5 to 10.60s The 60lb injectors are around 70% duty cycles

Do you have a hotwire kit for the fuelpump?? If not it is a good investment as well as a volt booster. The more power that you supply to the fuel pump, ignition system, etc... the better off you are in the long run

If your goal is mid 10s then our FPS-G7RXP340, Hotwire Harness FPWH-006 and Battery Ground Upgrade BGK-001 are all you need assuming your factory fuel lines are in good condition.

This is great. I have hot wire kit and ill gwt the steel braided. fuel line kit as well. Thx so much

Please make sure it is our hotwire kit.

Just curious... Is this due to other hotwire kits not working as well?

I ran into an issue recently which caused me to redo my hotwire. At the Alt=14v but just before the connector for the fuel pump I was getting mid/low 12v. I ran a new 8ga wire and crimped/soldered it to the existing wire about 6 inches from the relay. The wire that was in there looked like 12ga but may have been 10. It was on the car when I bought it back in 2000 so I assume it was an ATR kit maybe (car had a bunch of ATR parts back then).

I did 8ga based on calculating voltage drop for a 15ft wire and 25amps of current. Will be running a new ground (4ga) to the trunk area soon as well.
