And when I let the guy know the price was a tad high (in case he didn't- and I did it politely as I could), here was his reponse.

Dear raceone10,

You can go back to your circle jerk forum and tell them I said.... they could drive their ****mobiles off a short pier for all I care. I would jump up and down on it, and smash it to pieces before I would sell it for $50. I am not a buick fan , I run a business....to make money....not give deals to fellow "buick fans". If you don't like the price on it, DON'T BID.... REAL SIMPLE....AND AS WELL, YOU CAN KEEP YOUR TWO BIT COMMENTS TO YOURSELF. Here at the shop, we all got a good chuckle out of your email, and my reply back to you. Thanks for wasting my time and pissing me off. Goodbye.

LAMO!!!

Ok. so I won't bid on it then. What a tool.........

LOL!! PART 2...

He e-mailed me AGAIN (for no reason) other than to belly-ach... LOL! What a tool!

Dear raceone10,

That was a quick posting of my email.....what you did not tell them all....is that you stuck your nose where it didn't belong and sent a link to "your" website forum bashing my pricing of the tach? Do you have nothing better to do than email sellers and tell them they are overpricing their parts? How many of these tachs are available on your sight under "parts for sale" right now? I took a look through available parts on "your site", and some of the prices there seemed overpriced....you better email them right away....as you are the self proclaimed "price police". How many of these tachs have you ever seen for sale? If I could buy 50 of them for $50 each I would buy every one. You really are a loser.....what are you 16 years old....you run back and tell everyone.....guess what he said!!! Maybe I should start posting on "your" site myself. I bet you won't post this email....or at least not the whole thing.

Thank you,
islandautowrecking

I think he forgot IslandAutowrecking at the end... guess I know what junkyard to avoid.:D :p His mentality show why he works in a junkyard...LOL

Qwik: Once again I have to disagree with you. This guy has gone from "tool" status to being a full-fledged ass-wipe. If you feel like poking the bear, extend a cordial invitation to this numnut tp come join us. We'll make him feel REAL special:cool:

I think someone should bid on it, there is no reserve. Maybe it can be bought for $1.00 that would turn his already to-tight screws! If it ended he would have to sell it!! and then paypal would take thier 3% on to of the fees for listing it so he would end up making maybe 60 cents?

what a nimrod

That's hilarious...What do you wanna bet he has a bunch of stuff that's actually worth something in that junkyard and he's wasting his time selling that piece of crap.

IMHO

Most wrecking yard owners are cheap, unsophisticated and greedy and take advantage of people by extorting high sums of money from people who have no other choice but to deal with these people. They think they have the God-given right to rip people off because they have the only yard within an hour's drive of whereever. I've encountered these angry people and all I can say is stay away from them. There are other people that sell parts and you can vote with your wallet. These money grubbing imbred half-wits will be out in the cold "stomping" their precious parts. What a moron must be from the cousins-marrying cousins part of Jersey.

I think it says a lot about what kind of business man he is. He could have politely responded and said, "thank you for your opinion, I will take it into consideration." Oh well, some people just have no clue how to be civil or to deal with people.

No reserve but the opening bid is $199.99. So even if it gets one bid he will be making $200 off of it.

As long as you know the difference between a wrecking yard and an automotive recycler. Yards like his are fading away and getting ate up by the larger corporate yards. Yards like his are fighting to survive. They can't compete with the LKQs, Greenleafs, and PRP groups. He won't be around long.

I sent him a e-mail today with a link to the thread(s) here. Here's what he wrote back.

I could care less what the "buick" community thinks. They obviously have too much time on their hands. I have personally crushed 3 grand nationals and 10 turbo regals....I wish I had saved some pictures for them.

At least they know the difference in Turbo Regals and Grand Nationals.

Nice  Crush a few more mr. bad man, it will only make our cars worth more. :D

Hay I pulled a few m&m's from the back seat of my GN and there the lite brown kind that are very rare and you dont see the lite brown ones anymore, and they came from a real Grand National. so dose that mean that they are worth a lot of $$$?

I had some rare pennies from the 70's in my center console when I got it. I bet they are worth like $50 because they came from a real Grand National.

Thats not so bad. At least you didnt bid on it.

I royally screwed myself on ebay once. My fiances son is big into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and I have an old NES so I thought I would buy TMNT II for him and let him play around.

I found it on ebay brand new in the box for $20 and clicked the link. I put in a bid that I thought was $20 for an NES cartridge. When I won I found out I clicked the link below the auction I wanted to bid in and had purchased the actual TMNT arcade console instead.

Since I have 100% positive feedback I decided $200 isnt bad for a jamma cabnent that I can put other games into so I picked it up. The boy doesnt play it though, I put it in the warehouse at my work and make some of my money back off of it. :D

Kinda Off Topic:

Didn't Buick Motorsports used to make a tach for our cars that had a Turbo 6 on it?
