should i put a hotter thermostat in right now i have a 160.
change plugs back to the ac 44's
gonna run 100 oxygenated fuel
will the k&n help or hurt anything?
new pcv (GM)

my biggest concern is i no longer have an egr system, its mocked up for looks for the visual .
i think thats it any comments\suggestions

Kinda hard to reply to this type of thread. Cuz nobody knows better than you what the smog requirements are for your area.

Is I've stated in other threads, the smog requirements vary WIDELY from state to state (province to province), and even intrastate
It's all guess work.

You have to find out what kind of numbers they'll be looking at.

With a hi flow cat and emissions chip that will get you through most of the problems. Don't worry about a hotter thermostat because the chip will get the coolant temps up where they need to be before turning the fan on.
Now, for the EGR. With no EGR system functionality, you'll be seeing pretty hi NO (oxides of nitrogen) numbers on the sniffer.
Do they check NO? if so, what values are required? see what I mean?
The K&N wont hurt emuissions, but may not get buy the visual if they're real sticky about that.

HTH

I will have my test in 2004 luckily. Emmisions testing in Eastern Ontario is brand new so I have no idea if they do a visual inspection or not.
