These covers are discussed here in the lounge sometimes...thought I'd post this here.

Pulled off one of my covers to work on it to clear the alternator and found 6 nice grooves worn in on the bottom gasket rail. Looks like like they are a tad wide and 'interfered' with the pushrods.

If you got 'em...check 'em. If you want to buy...you'll have to modify. ;)

Bent/damaged p rods, as a result of the interference?
Noise?

Pushrods look ok. I only drove it about 25 easy miles. Didn't hear it rub either. Just sucks that some of the shavings fell through the pushrod holes in the head. :frown:
I changed the oil and filter. Hope it'll be alright.

Drop the pan and clean the pickup... you should be fine.

Had the same problem with a set, had to cut 3/4's of the rail off in order to get pushrod clearance, and the drivers side cover would not clear the rear alternator support bracket:mad: I know there was a thread in the past on these and from what I remember there were also clearance issues with the pass. side cover not clearing the heater box. Other than that, they fit great:rolleyes:
