Ebay Fabricated Valve Covers 'ALERT'

These covers are discussed here in the lounge sometimes...thought I'd post this here.

Pulled off one of my covers to work on it to clear the alternator and found 6 nice grooves worn in on the bottom gasket rail. Looks like like they are a tad wide and 'interfered' with the pushrods.

If you got 'em...check 'em. If you want to buy...you'll have to modify.

Pushrods look ok. I only drove it about 25 easy miles. Didn't hear it rub either. Just sucks that some of the shavings fell through the pushrod holes in the head. :frown:
I changed the oil and filter. Hope it'll be alright.

Drop the pan and clean the pickup... you should be fine.

Had the same problem with a set, had to cut 3/4's of the rail off in order to get pushrod clearance, and the drivers side cover would not clear the rear alternator support bracket I know there was a thread in the past on these and from what I remember there were also clearance issues with the pass. side cover not clearing the heater box. Other than that, they fit great

i had the same problems with them rubbing on the pushrods
