Any1 have any experience with a vacum pump?mechanical or electric?
I've seen some guys mention using and electric emissions pump from and LT1 but i bought 1 and it only pulls 3", also these guys claim to have 1 that pulls 12"http://www.speeddemonmotorsports.com/

Ford Motorsport sells 1 that is a emissions pump from a 460, its like 170$, then of course theres moroso aerospace etc. but i dont think they'll be reliable on a daily driver

Any info is greatly appreciated

if you are looking at a vacuum pump for a set of vacuum brakes look at this:

http://www.mpbrakes.com/mp27.htm

ive seen this recommended and i would like to get it one day b/c ive tried hitting the brakes in boost and the pedal is hard as a rock and i dont like that.

maybe this is what you are looking for.

Thanks for the reply but i'm looking for a crankcase evacutation pump, i should have said that sorry for the confusion

are you looking to get the oil the PCV sucks into intake out of there by using a vacuum pump? you can also try what i am doing and that is to build a PCV oil/air separator out of about $12 in parts. there is a device pre-made called the Condensator thats made to do just this. the website is http://www.condensator.com/ and they got pcs of the sludge they remove with the condensator on their site. ill try to find the site of what im doing but if you do a internet search for "pcv oil air separator" or other similar words/word combinations it will bring up similar results. my condensator im making works by condensing crancase vapors around BBs and letting them settle to the bottom of the jar while the clean, oil-free air gets sucked into the engine.
