FACT: My tranny took longer than said to build (I own a GN I expect stuff to take longer).

FACT: I completely 150% satisfied with my Stage II. One of the many reasons I got into the 12's with just that swap.

I understand the complaint but its not always black/white. I knew I was getting a great product, so I would have waited.

Lonnie and I have an agreement, and that is said and done (once I see my money back). Once again, and read slowly so you understand what I am saying - I am not trashing Lonnie, or his business. I posted my feedback of the experience I had, am I not allowed to do that? Am I not allowed to say how I feel about the whole situation? I didn't realize the FEEDBACK forum was for only positive FEEDBACK. You are the one who shifted into dick mode over something that doesn't even involve you, so yeah, I will call you names. I don't know you, have never dealt with you, and you've never dealt with me - ever.

I'm with you 100%. And had I been told it would take a couple months in the first place, I wouldn't be having this little pissing match with baadgn. As stated earlier, Lonnie told me it would be two weeks. When he called me last Monday and said it was shipping on Weds, I was excited to get it and get it installed in my car ASAP. But after no contact, no return calls, it took this OP to get him to call me. The details of our conversation are just that - ours. We agreed a refund was the best thing to do and part ways.

I don't doubt that Lonnies' work is anything less than top-notch. He has quite a following here on TB, and that's great. It comes down to he couldn't deliver on what he told me, and he lied. I am sympathetic to certain situations of his, but I am not sympathetic to being lied to. Lonnie knows this. He came on here himself and said what he had to say. Then I posted the facts of our transaction and what I felt was some constructive critiscm. In reality, this thread didn't need to go past post #4.

As far as I'm concerned, this situation is cut and dried.... Now that I'm being threatened by baadgn.

I ordered one of his trans and it took longer than he said but customer service and quality is worth the wait. He might we slower than he promised but he is a stand up guy and backs his products, sometimes we need to chill. It's good to see someone in business busy nowadays, stop bitching and cut the man some slack. Any of his customers will tell you he stands behind what he sells, if there is a problem and will "ALWAYS MAKE IT RIGHT."
Try and buy a DLS, Duttweiler,or RPE Engine it takes time but well worth the wait. Lonnie is a class act, with great products. I would not hesitate to buy from him.

As with anyone who is a SPECIALIST things can get behind and get tough. I was told a couple weeks, and, it turned into a few months about the same situation as you. I've been through a few tranny's, and, got to the point I would've waited for six months just for the piece of mind even with the run around!!! There aren't many guys out there who can build a 200-4-R as well AND OFFER THE SERVICE AFTER THE SALE. They'll ALL take the $$$$ and promise the world though!!! I'll keep my eyes out for the "You guys were right" thread! Good luck.

I just wanted to jump in and add my two cents since Im in the same boat as the o.p. I honestly wish some of you wouldnt jump down this guys throat as it is completely uncalled for. He never badmouthed Lonnie or threw a fit. No I do not know him, never met him, or even talked to him on here. But the simple fact is that Lonnie has admitted he has done a "piss-poor" job about keeping us in the loop about the completion and shipping times. There is no need to run this guy down for stating facts when even Lonnie has said he has messed up. Now Lonnie has called me and offered a refund, but I declined because i honestly believe he will get my trans shipped out monday as he promised. Lonnie is a great guy and trans builder, very helpful and knowledgeable. Im sure my trans will kick ass and I will recommed him to anyone who wants the best. But if someone has issues with him I will not jump in and bash him without knowing all the facts just because I like Lonnie.

We are all men here, and not 1 of you has not had a problem of some sort when you were buying something from someone. Stuff happens, life goes on, and things get resolved. Think of some of the reasons the fella posted, he could not get in touch with Lonnie. Lonnie finally got in touch with him and on here to boot so this proves that it was useful for whatever his name is to post. Come on guys, chill out... Times are tough, shart happens, and in a year nobody will remember this anyway

This is the feedback section isn't it? If someone is not happy with their service are they not allowed to express how they feel?

I think some vendors bite off more then they can chew at times and the customer gets the ****tty end of the stick as a result. Chit happens.

Vendors are human and are in business to make money in this crappy economy and are not going to turn away business if they think they can manage. Obviously some times they cannot.

The op posted his experience and Lonnie responded back. I don't see what the issue is. Can't please everyone.

Lonnie has one of the best reputations out there as far as trannys go and that in the end is all that really matters. Thousands are happy, a few are not. Pretty good track record imo when u look at ALL of his customers.

While Lonnie has driven me crazy with a lot of the same complaints I can say one thing. It might not be fast enough for our liking but when he delivers a trans it is awesome. People stare when my car shifts and chirps drag radials at light throttle. Absolutely awesome transmissions he just needs to manage things better and start telling everyone " NO I CAN'T DO IT BY TOMORROW OR NEXT WEEK! " He means well but you can't please everyone every single day.

For those that don't want to wait on the 200 specialist you can get one of these mack daddy g body 700's that are way better than a built 200 :biggrin:

You should have had Dave Husek build your trans for you!! I pulled the trans out of my car & shipped it to him , I told him my combo , Dave built the thing in like a week shipped it back and this trans frickin rocks!!!!Oh and by the way I blew the old trans up metal was eveywhere so it wasnt like he had a nice clean trans to start with.1-2 shifts like nothing else and 2-3 shift the car frickin pulls when it shifts!!I would tell anyone wanting KILLER trans call Dave :biggrin: Thats all I have to say

Jeeze, Lee! You said exactly what I was going to say. Was just thinking how to phrase it. So, here's X2 on your response.

Zac, it's time to cool it.....go somewhere, have a cold beer, chill out, think pleasant thoughts, and give thanks to the Lord that you're still around to rant and rave, even though, as Lee said, the opposite is quickly happening. Cut your losses, and cool it.

As for Lonnie Biers, he's first on my list when my trans kisses the pavement with thousands of pieces.

Sorry you had to post in the feedback to get a call back. I've been in your position and I know it was your last resort. It can be quite frustrating having a car down. There are other reputable trans builders on this site that you might consider if you've decided to not follow through with Lonnie. I've had success with PTS and CK.
