I visit here from time to time, as these engines are close in size to what I run. I have a 4.5L 274 ci ford v6. I currently have a precision pt-88 with a .96 a/r exhaust housing. It is a blowthrough methanol carb setup with a powerglide. It is making around 900 hp with 15 lbs of boost.
The problem I am having is spool up... It just doesn't spool up good on the transbrake. I am thinking it is to do with the methanol/heat/rich down low when on the brake.
Anyone here run a .96 on a stage 2 setup or are most of them twins?? I was thinking of dropping back to a 80mm with a .81 housing but I don't want to choke it either...
