Any ideas. I am trying the Fel-pro 1401, but they have already blown out in a few days driving. I looked at the SCE copper gaskets, but the port shape doesn't really match. Local Mustang turbo guy uses hi temp silicone only on his 1400 HP setup with no problems so far. I like the copper ones because they don't blow out if a bolt loosens and can be tightened back up without removing everything, but the shapes aren't even close.

Gaskets

I hate to hear that about the 1401 gaskets. I will be needing some exhausts gaskets soon.
I have used MrGasket Ultra-Seal exhaust gaskets(p/n 5956).I don't street the car and race it even less<G> I don't know how they would hold up on the street?
I have had a local speed shop trying to locate these 5956's,but they say they are on national backorder??
I had a set of those copper gaskets.I gave them to a local guy(Tim Barnum)Not sure if he used them. They were the wrong type ports for sure!

Greg can you just carve on the copper gaskets a bit with a grinder to port match them?

The SCE coppers are round port with an embossed "oring" type seal. Good looking, but I have no idea what type ports they are supposed to fit. I would have to add material as well as grind some away to make them work. I have thought about cutting my own if the 1401 don't work this time.
