For those interested in info on the F-22 crash today, the pilot unfortunately didnt make it. LtCol (Ret) David Cooley USAF, AKA "Cools" call sign Dagger 2 for the F117A. Was a great pilot and commander. Also a very good friend of mine.

The initial reports said the pilot ejected and was unhurt. So much for accuracy in reporting.

Was it a Lockheed Martin test flight?

I am very sorry for your loss.
May God bless his family and give them strength in their time of mourning.

It is a sad day when we loose a great warrior/pilot and mostly a friend. Sorry about your loss and the loss to his family. God Speed.

Not that I know any better, but leaving the plane at mach 1.5 cannot be a good thing.
