146 on a back road, my buddy wanted to see if it would get over my 1/4 mph. He started screaming after a mile!

about 120 or so threw the traps. now the speedo has read higher on burnouts

Speaking of, the Scanmaster works off the VSS which is set up for 26" tires right? Anybody know what 138 on the scanmaster would work out to with 28" tires. Reason I ask is I did something kinda stupid the other night, just wondering how stupid.

in 1999

I went 133+ at the old track in Vegas. Ran 132.45 at Woodburn,Or. in July of 1997. Different motors, same car.

Gee, I feel slow at 117 in the 1/4 mile.... my best mph. On the street? 85 mph is what the dash said, blinking on and off.... I really need my driver's liscense so I try to keep the crazy speeds for the track. And for those of you who never raced your car at the track, you have no idea what you are missing in life.... something everyone should do at least one time... ok, I'm done preaching....

111 MPH in the 1/8th. Then I had to Hand the keys back over to my wife.

I stole her car Friday night and took it to the track MPH I cant remember:wink: . I wanted to make sure the parachute deployed properly:biggrin:

Always under 65 on the street though.

Beat me to it!

130 while breaking the drive shaft, trans, and blowing a HG at the same time:)

And that was all done in his driveway. :D

Oh, wait, it's just HG's that Shane blows in the driveway. He saves transmissions for the rock. ;)

I can't drive my GN over 85 MPH max.

My Google Maps street view camera on my roof starts shaking my sun visors in the car so VIOLENTLY, they are like wiper blades on the headliner!

Hey, I try to cover alot of ground, ok!

With my old GN street car, 174mph according to the '06 Z06 that was next to me! I let off due to my car floating !!! This was on a closed road course. The Vette had a procharger running 10lbs boost too! :) The Ol' GN with a PT-70 GTQ .85 Exhaust housing made it hard for him!!!!

Please describe what this "floating" is you speak of.

Back in 96 just after I got married I had the speedometer buried past 145. At that time I had the 145 overlay. My wife was with me and we was minding our own business on I-75 on our way to church when this 5.0 started messing with me. I pushed the pedal to the floor and watched him fade behind me, never hearing my wife telling me to stop. I just know that when I looked down at the speedo and it was buried past the 145. My wife saw it to. She wasn't happy at all. Good thing we was on our way to church. I think that was Satan in that Mustang........

Are you familiar with those tunnel haul speed boats that trim the out board motor so the bow rises to the point of almost flipping over? Floating is kinda the same... except front tires hardly touching ground...steering is compromised... very scary ...

No, not really.
