Any downsides? More visible rock chips? Heat? Give me some ideas, thanks

Hartline's is the best. I will get one this year at some race track . Search for some of his advertisements in the vendor section he posted a few pics.

I've seen them and I know they're nice. Wondering if they'll hold up on a street car as far as Rick chips and such. Are they too brittle?

Most likely you will have fitment problems. I've had 2 body guys refuse to install one for me. They end up not lining up
right. Yours and everyone else's expeirence may differ........

This is the first time I've ever heard of a fitment problem with one of our hoods. Please give us a call and we will see what we can do.

Our hoods are on a ton of street cars. Just like a steel hood, if a rock hits it, you could get a stone chip in the paint. If you run into something larger than that, I doubt a steel hood it's going to be much more help.

Cal - It was NOT one of your hoods. Sorry if it sounded like I was talking about your hoods. I've heard good things about your hoods.

hello people; I know it would save you alot of weight so you'll be faster. I don't know for sure but it should be good on a street car but maybe heat would be the only drawback. And if thats the case you could vent it. I'd like to know for sure.

V8Killer has an old reject from Grumpy on his T. It's very lightweight, of course it looks like an old 33 rpm record that was left in the sun too long. No rock chip issues but he can't get paint to stick to it.

Another happy Hartline hood owner here. Street car, been on over a year. Many have thought it was a steel hood!

In my opinion most rock chips are going to occur on the header panel. Itleast prior to my car getting painted that's where my chips were....Hell had rock chips every place except the hood.....Know a couple people with Hartline hoods and they are a nice piece...I would put one on my car in second if Cal would give me one ;)........

No downsides. Awesome hood.
