As most on this board know I have been chasing a 9second time slip for about 3 years and have had more than my share of problems.Well as I posted in the stage 2 section Thursday night we finally got there with a 6.30 et at 110.5mph in the 1/8 mile that equates to a 9.85 1/4 mile.Iwish I could tell you what it was that pushed us over the top but during the last rebuild we changed a lot,a new rolller cam, added a mease intake, had the heads reworked with beehive springs and added a trans brake with an air shifter. Even after all that our 60 foot times were rotten and it became apparant that our 12 inch Street ETs were not going to work.So we added a new set of Hoosier 29 x 10.5 slicks and ajusted the HR Bar and the 60 foot times fell from a 1.69 to 1.42 ,25 degress of timingand 24 lbs boost and along came a 9 second run. Is anybody out there running 9s with ET Streets? I sure could not make them work.

I have a friends street driven t-type that runs et streets and runs 9.70@142 on them 1.41 to 1.43 60 fts . The size he runs is 13.5x28 they are 11 inches wide by 28 inches tall you need a frame notch to tuck em in though . :)

Thats great to hear Reg, but i am still working on the same goal, stock block and heads though. Just got to get out of the 1.7 60's some how. Been at it 5 years now, getting fed up slowly

Reg,
Congrats!!!! I know the feeling as I just got my 1st 9 second run two weeks ago and like you it didn't come easy but just got to stick with it.

Congrats again.

Congrats at getting your 1/8 mile goal. Time to get to a 1/4 mile track so you can say you ran a 9, and not just a math calculated 9. Again, congratulations.

Fantastic Reggie. Get it dialed in before LV and that 9 is yours. Good luck and have a great time.

Nice, 5's
