I have already done that. I know that 16#'s runs clean. Its the 17#'s that is questionable. It didn't register knock about 1/2 of the runs. The original question was if I should try to reduce timing or just drop it back down to 16# and call it good.

Both...have you verified fuel pressure at WOT yet? Does it rise 1psi/1psi of boost?
 
It is tit for tat. Boost vs timing. If it was me I would back the boost back down to 16psi. If you want to be able to get more then buy Razors kit. It is worth every penny.
 
I know that most of you are running alky, but I don't want to add another system to the car at this time. There is plenty of performance & learning for me at this level.

I say add alcohol. Best money spent on these cars. Then step up injector size. Or park it and get that stroker stageII built for your new heads.

You need more fuel. Until you get it,turn down the boost
 
If you already know at 16lbs it runs clean then leave it there.....You need to get some injectors.....
