How's this?

SPEEDO CLUSTER OVERLAY INSTALLATION
Remove the large dash bezel
It's held to the dash face with spring clips, and you need to pull it straight out to remove it. It's a little tricky, but not too bad. Once it's out, check the plastic tabs that the spring clips are attached to, some of them may come off and stay in the slots in the dash! If so, pull them out of the dash and re-attach them to the tabs.

Remove the 4 small screws that hold the clear lens and lens bezel on.
The clear lens, and the black bezel beneath the lens should pull off easily. Set those, and the screws aside.

Test fit the overlays
Without removing the adhesive tape backing, slide each overlay in place to make sure all the cutouts can be lined up correctly. Be sure to get the overlays behind the needles. On the gas-gauge overlay-- make sure the top edge of the overlay can be lined up flush along the top of the existing "ledge" when the tach and boost gauge cutouts are correctly lined up. If they'll line up correctly, then carefully remove them!
(if they WON'T line up correctly, contact me!!)

Now you have to decide what to do about your pointer needles!
(if you ordered black "stock appearing" overlays, you can skip this step!)
The needles are white, so they won't show up very good against the white (or silver) overlays! You may want to paint the entire needle, or just the tip. Black or red would work fine.
NOTE!! It may be wise to paint the needles with water-based acrylic paint rather than enamel paint, because acrylic paint can probably be removed, whereas enamel may be fairly "permanent"!
Before painting the needles, slide some paper behind the needle(s) to keep paint from getting on the gauge face. Let the paint dry real good.

Apply the overlays!
Do just like the test fit, but now, remove the tape backing, and the protective covering. This part may get tricky if the tape wants to "grab" before the overlays are correctly lined up! If the tape DOES grab, it should be easy to pull the overlay away to re-adjust it. Just pull gently, because this material can tear or break in the corners of the cutouts. Once the overlay is correctly lined up, use a SOFT CLEAN CLOTH and some gentle pressure and "rub" down the overlays. This will "set" the tape, AND clean away any fingerprints!

Re-assemble, and your done!
Make sure the needles move freely, then re-attach the lens bezel and the lens, and snap the large dash bezel back into place!

NOTES
Because the tape is very aggressive, I used it sparingly!
These overlays don't need much adhesive to keep them in place.
OVERLAYS ARE FRAGILE AND CAN BE SCRATCHED EASILY,
PLEASE HANDLE WITH CARE!

Mark,

That's great detailed info and the procedure sounds very easy. Since it can be done without the need to remove or disturb the needles, I want to place an order. For clarification purposes, can you tell me the cost for the white faced speedo overlay 85 mph kit that would also include the white adjusted boost lower piece to correspond with the 3 bar MAP boost values? Looks like $70.00 for both, but I want to be sure before I go to your site to order. I wouldn't need any custom extra engravements. Car has console shift, stock boost/ tach, and trip meter. Thanks!

the first one (boost going from 3 to 31) works with the 3 bar MAP sensor and the stock gauge electronics.

I fiddled around with a gauge pack years ago and managed to mod it to match the second design. But I don't know anyone doing that. (I'm not)

so get the first one......

Bob

The overlays are cool. I would like to see the dash taken a step further...

I think convertiing the rpm guage to a fuel pressure gauge would be great, that way you can monitor the 1 for 1 pressure rise at a glance. Perhaps setting up a shift light by butchering one of those shift lights that uses the rotorary dial to set the shift point. The dial can be mount somewhere convient, and a bulb/up arrow added to the IP overlay. The stuff one thinks of when sitting in traffic .
