Ok, it appears my oil leak is coming from where the oil filter housing meets the block, looks like there is a gasket or 2 and a few O-rings, its leaking from that whole area, does anyone have the schematics or pics of the gaskets and stuff?

I need to give em to a friend of mine who is going to get the parts need to stop this damn oil leak

As always its much appreciated :)

BTW I searched gnttype.org and couldn't find anything :(

Just really need to know the gasket arrangments. Pics would be GREAT :)

The oil filter seals to the oil cooler adapter using the gasket on the face of the filter. Make sure the mating surfaces are clean and that you put a fresh coat of oil on the filter gasket using your index finger before installing.

The oil cooler adapter seals to the oil pump cover with o-ring P/N 25530999. Make sure that the retainer (the fitting onto which the oil filter threads) is tight - they can loosen when you remove the filter.

The oil pump cover seals to the motor with gasket P/N 25512860.

Tell your GM counter guy to pull up the "1986-87 "G" Engine Oil Cooler Pipes & Filter V6 (LC2/3.8-7) illustration in Group 1 - you'll see everything there.

Likely it's the o-ring - and Kirban and others have slightly thicker, replacement o-rings for this application.
