Thinking about selling my short block to go stage 2.
Stock stroke, eagle crank, k1 rods, wiseco pistons, aluminum girdle, stock caps
This engine was originally built by Lonnie Diers about 5 years ago.
New block 2 years ago.
Crank has been 20/20 for half it's life. Needed to be 10/10 out of the box and was cut one more time when I replaced the block.
Whole assembly is internally balanced 50/50 using Mallory.
Pistons are .020. And to be honest, next time around could probably be replaced...the ring lands were showing a little wear but nothing major.
The engine has probably 15 passes since I refreshened it last month. During the refresh, this is what I did:
new rings
Engine was professionaly measured out. During measuring, it was noticed that a line hone was needed to get perfect clearances. All machine work was done by bischoff engine service (bes) which is one of the best machine shops in the country.
New king bearings
20 psi hot with fresh oil at idle
This engine has been great! Its a lower compression (8:1) which allows for tuning errors but responds great with big boost. It has been 9.6's in tsm trim and 9.9 in ths trim with 28 psi. This is a perfect 10 second engine that will last years at that level. It will run into the 9's, but as any 109 engine, the passes are limited and require maintenance (taking engine apart for inspection after so many passes. )
This engine has been drilled out for using a duttweiler or DLS type oil pump.
I am selling it as a short block with cam shaft (DLS billet roller...can be used as a hydro roller or solid roller.)
Will not come with:
Lifters
Front cover and oil pump.
$4k firm.
May add parts for additional money such as front cover, oil pump, gn1 heads, intake etc.
Not desperate to sell, just seeing if there is any interest.
