You need the boost gauge ( if you are racing) at eye level for sure. The fuel pressure if you have an electric one and maybe the oil pressure. John

Boost gauge at the a pillar. Oil pressure on the console along with the temp. I use a scanmaster as a knock sensor.

Cool thanks guys so brad u only have 3 gauges ? Boost, oil and temp ..... What other gauge is good to have I need to fill the second hole in the A pillar?

This is how I have mine set up. The boost gauge is mechanical because of how fast it responds. The fuel pressure is full sweep electric. Both are LED backlit. I would go electric on everything but boost. I use scanmaster as knock gauge and temp gauge but will be adding electric oil pressure and coolant temp soon below the radio.

I have the electric Speed Hut oil, water, boost ga's w/ the warning system built in. They are adjustable for both min and max readings.
I'm looking for a 3 ga pillar pod, but haven't found a vendor that has them...:(

Just a simple autometer full sweep electric with a transducer on the rail. Follow the instructions its very simple. 12v switched ignition, lights, 3 wires for transducer. Also using the analog output to log in Power logger. Love the LED backlighting

Do u have a pic of where u hooked up ur fuel pressure gauge by chance?

I dont have a water gauge. Car had one when I bought it but was mechanical and didn't work right. I removed it and replaced with fuel pressure. Right now I just keep an eye on the scanmaster if I want to know temp. I will add water temp later.

Fuel pressure is a simple standard autometer install with a transducer on the rail at the test port. Used an adapter for NPT. Some say this is too much leverage on the rail but I havent had any issues.

My stuff is nowhere near as meticulously installed as some but since your asking for pics I'll humbly show mine.

The adapter can be found here and many other places http://www.gbodyparts.com/product_info.php?products_id=547

Hey chuck any pics of where u hooked up ur fuel and water gauges?

No pics yet. Still looking for a pillar mt.
I just started tearing the car down for gauges, a/c rebuild, timing chain/ft cover, MAJOR spring cleaning, etc.
I will make a manifold to mt the fp bypass sw, and psi ga sender up near the ac box. That gets the wiring up out of the oil leaks!

It'll be a while B4 there's pics available, sorry.:(

I have a fuel pressure gauge on my fuel rail already would I have to switch that out with the new gauge to run it into my car?

Yep. You NEVER plumb fuel into the pass area. Either the elec gauge, or the old AM w/ the antifreeze pressure sender, is the way to go. [The af pressure sender is waaay old tech, and not popular w/ elec ga's being the better choice.]

id say boost gauge on pillat oil pressure an tem on console and fuel pressure on hood .. old skool .. kb

EGT, Boost, and wideband on a pillar, water / oil on console here. Fuel psi connected to pl.
