Everythings cool. Opportunity abounds. The blue collar worker is doing just as good as he ever was, he just thinks he's entitled to alot more nowadays. Immigration to this country has gone on since its existence. Big deal, who cares. Deal with your problems and stop trying to blame them on the country because if you can't get by here then you can't get by anywhere.

As far as life being better now than it was in the 20' or 40's or 1850's

I agree.
I am an American, and my god damn tax dollars are being wasted on or because of illegal aliens. Plain and simple.

And if you want me to get really picky. I am inconvenienced everytime I go to order a meal, and get the wrong thing because some non-english speaking illegal fugged up my order.

Last week's report on CNN (its CNN, so, you know its true ), reported Illegal Aliens through the southern border are 69% Mexican and 31% Other....

My son has patroled the border from Texas to California for the last 10 years. His anecdotes to me are reliable in my view. His biggest concern is the drug running and smuggling of illegal stuff and illegal aliens across the border. He has personally been involved in apprehending Pakistani's, Iraqi's, Palistinians, you name it....they come through the southern border This issue is bigger than "they don't take jobs from Americans" or "They pay taxes" or "its unAmerican"....Our country, and the culture that made it great, is threatened by the changes/threats coming in through the southern border.

My president Bush's proposal disrespects my son, and every border patrol agent, and every Coast Guard member who guards our borders and sea shores with a slap on the face ....They put their lives on the line every day for the rest of us. My son dodges machine gun bullets every week....Bullets from drug smugglers and Coyotes and Mexican troops....It needs to be fixed!

He's wrong on this issue, but, he's still my president....And I support his reelection, and our war on terrorism Making a voting decision on one single issue is foolish

I think the bottom line here is: ILLEGAL. That's what they are called and that's what they are. How are we responsible for making sure they have a place to sleep and food to eat. Homeless people, for whatever reason, don't get the same consideration. I think we should take care of our own first then turn our attention to the rest of the world.

Wow. I never knew border patrol had gotten so dangerous. It used to be a pretty boring job back when I lived down south years ago. Mexican troops shooting at our guys with machine guns every week??? How are they getting away with that?
