GM shortblock question

[86 TR]

A friend of mine has a brand new, in the crate 109 shortblock for an 86-87 turbo regal.

Crank, pistons, rods but no camshaft. He bought it about 14 years ago from a local GM dealer.

What would it be worth? Its never been taken out of the crate and is still wrapped in plastic.

Wish I had it.

$3000-4000. That's the value to a collector. To anybody else it's not worth that much. A stronger shortblock could be made for the same $.
