Guys,

Michael Fell is officially on his way to the Orlando World Street Nationals.
http://www.speedworlddragway.com/street_nationals/
He has a White GN with a stock suspension that is set to compete in the Drag Radial class. For those who don’t know this class last year required a 8.64 to get into the 32 car field. This is on a drag radial, with a stock suspension and weighing in at 3400lbs.
We were hoping to get the car the same weight break as the N20 Small Blocks but as of now he will have to run at the same weight as the turbo v8 cars. The chassis was prepared by Leo Barnaby at http://www.neverliftracecraft.com/ , this includes custom sway bar, front control arms and springs . The transmission is a Pro Mod Glide from Chris at http://www.ckperformance.com/ . The converter is from http://www.protorque.com/ . Otto Pernek wired the car and got it started. The turbo, tune/XFI and driving will be courtesy of the one and only Cal Hartline http://www.hartlineperformance.com/ . Other parts include a custom A/W intercooler, Weldon 2345 Pump, Precision GT47-88 (for now) I think Harry will have something wicked for the car later. Last but not least thanks to Ken Duttweiler for the 272CI of full Stage 2 Nightmare! If you have a chance to stop by and say hi, please do. You may be looking at the last Buick V6 to try and qualify at this historic race. I will try and give updates as I get them.

John glad to hear they got it finished and are on their way.
Never got a call back from him as to what the plan was.

I am not sure they totally know what the plan is.
They left at about 7 p.m. tonight and were working 16 hour days to get this thing ready. I think if they can make the show it is a victory for all us Buick Guys! I am excited, but I wish a couple more of the boys could make it.

John, you will be there? Got any pictures of the beast?

My wife is 7 months pregnant and has been sick for a week.
It would take an army to make me leave her side.
I was going to go to the Pride Event in Vegas too, but they will have to wait.
I will post some pictures in the Picture/Video Section.

Hope she feels better soon. Cal is driving it? I'll get you some pictures also.

Awesome!!! I can't wait to see Michael's ride in person and I will definitely be rooting to see the V6 make the show  I will be sure to get plenty of pics of the car as well as others.

I'd be a volunteer pilot to help Cal out....if I had time to go :(

Pull for Fiscus also. He'll be fighting for a spot himself.

Of course I am pulling for Dave as well!!!

Didn't know Fiscus was also going to be there... What about Gomes??

I'd obviously like to see them both make the show!

Tony was not sure he could make the show from what I heard,
so he decided not to come.

Good Luck guys!

It is awesome someone is representing the TR world down there!

Come on down Dusty! I really shouldn't be driving with all cars I have to tune. Tony Gomes will be there without his car. Hopefully we can get at least one car in he "big show". Times have changed a lot since I qualified #13 just a few years ago.

"You can do it, you can do it all night long"!

Sorry, bad Waterboy quote.

Cal,

When you qualify this thing it will go down in Buick History!

Otto,

Sorry about the trailer issue.
The car has been scaled for 162lbs driver so Cal will need to drive.
We can always put a couple issues of GM High Tech in the seat! ;)

I really would have loved to go and drive,But he couldnt put it together he said.

I just got an update, 350 miles from Cal's place!

Otto,

It is too bad you did not have time to drive down with them.
I think the race will be off the chain this year!
Especially with Dave coming and Tony watching.
If I could go to any one race, this would be it!
