As an upper class HOA home owner, I hope you're not moving there because of noise complaints in your old neighborhood. I also wouldn't advice having that Alky Camaro over for dinner Those guys will be ten times worse compared to an average middle class neighborhood.

No, I've never had any complaints where I'm at now. My previous neighborhood was primarily older people who hated me and my cars, and my friends, and my dog. Old people will bitch about anything. I figure they are just jealous because they will die soon.

Honestly the only thing I'm concerned about is the "all vehicles must be parked inside rule". In the covenants it says all the cars must be in the garage, but I only have a 2 car garage and only the camaro goes in it. But my neighbor (the state trooper) parks his squad on the street and one guy has a truck that sits in the driveway that they say hasn't moved in years, so if they tell me I can't park outside they'll have to tell the cop too. Not smart, IMO.

When we met my new neighbor (the cop), I told him about my car and how it was a little loud and I go out late on the weekends, he said "Oh thats OK, as long as you aren't out here doing burnouts and stuff". My buddy who was with me nearly choked. The street where I'm at now has mysterious black stripes, hope those don't follow me to the new house.......

I feel for you dude. I live in a nice neighborhood with a HOA, and amazingly enough, everyone leaves me alone. Even have two nice patches of VHT in front of the house for testing purposes

There are times that make me cringe as I pull into my condo garage at 3 am!!!

All my neighbors are totally cool and the one older lady (of different race - that seems to almost always add to conflict; race, religion, country of origin - anything different) that has a bedroom directly over my garage never says anything and I have asked her about it.

I think she is being kind, but then I always help out my neighbors.

It is fun to think of ways to blast out the jerks and take it as far as the law will permit but then you will be the jerk - is that what you want? I know some people need to be held accountable for their actions and should suffer, but try to not be the one to administer the punishment if possible. The "Concerned Neighbor" will always be an ass, don't let such persons change you.

Just forget about it and don't let them get you down. if your car is legal to drive then drive it whenever you want to drive the car.

The old lady across the street from me sends me notes like that! The best is when a friend of mine parked in front of her house (legally). She came out of the house and threatned him. Told him he was breaking the law and she was going to slash his tires. Funny thing is that he is a police officer in my area

Thats funny, I have very old neighbors and the 82 year old man (Dwayne) to the north of me comes over to my garage all the time to "help" me work on my car. He also lets me borrow tools all the time!! The 89 year old lady to the south of me offers me to keep my car in her garage since she cant drive anymore!!

Seriously, a turbo Buick with a muffler on it is NEVER louder than a lawn mower. So continue on, if the cops ever show up, start your lawn mower and your car and see which the cops can hear.
Also, do you not have any neighbors that ride a Harley??

I've had noise complaints when we throw big parties with a live band. We get a ticket on the third complaint on the same night. We accept the ticket and continue on if we want, but the cops tell us we don't have to stop, but each time they get called we get another ticket....ok fine.
They also tell us that we can take the ticket to court and the person calling in the complaint has to appear....if they don't then the ticket gets dismissed....if they show..then WE KNOW WHO THE COMPLAINTANT IS!

So far, we only received one ticket several years ago, complaintant didn't show. The other times, the officers came twice then we stopped so no tickets issued.

I've also had the City COde Inspectors stop by because a nieghbor reported that I was running an auto repair shop...f'ing idiots don't realize I own all the freakin cars here! Inspector just laughed and left.

I have a friend with neighbors like that...I had to call the cops on them one time. My friend was one of five kids and they all had cars. That was seven including the parents cars. So I could only park across the street. These people would freak out because me and my friend drove old ass trucks. Well one day while I was visiting my friend I noticed out the window the neighbors wife pulled out of the garage and parked as cloe to me as possible. Then the husband pulled out and parked his truck nose to nose with my truck. They wanted it so I would have to ask them to please move etc. I simplyed called the law. The cop informed them it was legal for me to park there as long as I had: insurence, current tags and not longer than 48 at a time Oh and if I was parked going with traffic...unlike what they had done to block my truck. The sad thing was, this was a border line middle class neighborhod and these people was around 30-32 years old What a bynch of snobs. They finnaly moved when the husband got a better job. My income bracket is still 10 times his but you would never see me doing that crap.

Hey if someone wants to park on the street in front of my house...go ahead, I own the road as its a private street and I own the land across the street from my house....so its on my property I can do whatever I want with it I probably wouldn't have it towed since it would block the neighbors from getting in/out...these are the neighbors we can't stand

My nieghbours love my Buick, a couple of them have come out to the track to see it run. I have the opposite problem. When I start it up to leave they come over asking for a rip around the block Last time i did that I came home with $800 worth of fines. Funny thing was, none was for speeding or any other moving violation.

rembember what happened the last time you were @ my place? .......otto i had a similar issue.....someone sent an anon. letter to my father in law(i bought my house from him) they accused me of running an auto repair shop......the guy across the street actually does this!!!!! the loud cars comming and going all hours of the night......ect ect they told him to clean up his rental or else LOL........


i got a 4x8 florescent signand put in my front yard for a month !!!!!!!! somthing to the effect of dear concerned neighbors......if you got an issue with me grow some balls and knock on this HOMEOWNERS door.......if not dont waste my time!!!

That's a great idea, my buddy that owns a carwash has one that he can't use but 1 week a month...

Change it next month to say "OPEN FOR BUSINESS" for those thinking your running a car repair business....it doesn't say what kind of business so they can't complain
When my neighbors complained that I was running a car repair business I thought about getting a neon sign to hang on my garage that said "GO FAST TOPLESS BAR"....they thought a non-existent auto repeair business was bad for the neighborhood

tell them to go blow a goat... it could be worse... they could have me living next to them... I have two drag bikes and this grand national that rarely has the cap on the exhaust dump... OH and my band practiced here for years... If im really annoying my neighbors the will call me and ask me to keep it down, but seriously you have every right to do what the hell you please during the day. I bet they have an annoying dog that barks in the middle of the night... from the sounds of that letter they sound like those kind of people....
