Bullit chase scene redo.
I thought it was a 2013 mustang commercial, but since realized it was a scene from a show on fox,but still cool just the same.
I would still bet that Ford's marketing dept had alot to do with it.

18yr old girl driver for Steve McQueen=new era marketing 101. Just sayin.

Nice broad.... I wouldnt mind having a F-150 Eco boost and a gt500 or a new 5.0 in the driveway, Still got my grandpops 79 F-150 he bought brand new.

The 5.0 is nice but the MT-82 manual trans is looking like it's going to be a nightmare if you beat on it any. I'd be happy with the 6-speed auto and a looser converter and of course some boost .

auto's dont miss a shift thats for sure

I never thought I'd say this...but I actually kinda want a new Mustang.

Dammit GM, why are you letting that happen?

Why isn't the Mustang green? Oh and the anti-lock is broke! ;)

Pretty good but you can't beat the original. I could watch it 10 times a day.

Auto 5.0 with boost rocks!

I don't think it's that the tranny is weak, there is a bunch of the manual trans cars going low 10's with the stock tranny, run after run,i think there is even a 9 second manual trans car on you tube.
It seems that the manual trans that are messing up are because for some odd reason they just wont shift,and/or are grinding going into gear, but alot of them are people that only have a few hundred miles and have never even spun the tires or beat on them (so they say)because they arn't even broken in yet.
I think it may seem like there is more problems then there really is with them, because everyone with that shifting problem ends up in the same place, they google it + find the same thread or 2 about the problem + chime in, I think if they get that shifting thing sorted out on those with the problem, the manual trans should be fine,It's actually pretty amazing how well the stock trans without the shifting problems are handling the power of a low 10 second car.
But I'd go with the auto anyway, especially if i was going to supercharge it + go 10's.

A couple of 10 second manual trans cars, launching hard on slicks.

And some folks wonder why I'm now a "dyed in the wool" Ford guy!
Well.... ecoboost motors in almost everything build by the 2013 model year. GT500's making 650HP stock!!! etc. etc.
And for the mileage freaks... 3 models that get 40+ mpg. An ecoboost Edge that pulls down 30mpg!!

GM has lost to will. Hardly any turbo'd cars in the lineup, Thier most powerfull factory motor not measuring up the the GT500. Quality dropping. Anybody every close the door on the new Camaro?? (window down). The upper door panel rattles just like they do on our 25 year old Buicks!! And the cheap looking interior doesn't do much to instill confidence.

Dave, you hit the nail right on the head. Ford is doing great things right now and GM is turning out junk. I went to GM and Ford ride and drive events recently. Everything that I drove on the GM side was junk. Even the CTS-V had the same cheap looking plastic materials in the interior that the other models had. I was really excited about the new Regal GS until I drove one. What a slug that was. The turbo lag was brutal. I went to the Ford tent and was very impressed. I have to say that I'm not impressed with Ford's styling, but the fit and finish was much better than GM. All the ecoboost vehicles were super fun to drive and had no lag at all. The SHO was a beast! Those things are running high 12's with nothing more that a tune from a handleld programmer.

I love my Ecoboost. It really moves for a 3 ton brick.

When you gotta go, you gotta go...

But seriously, I hate saying this but I agree with everything you guys are saying about current Ford vs. GM products. My Dad's new Raptor blows away any of several GMC trucks I've ever had, including a Denali. It's actually embarrassing. The fit and finish compares more closely to a Mercedes than to any GM product I've looked at lately.
